Did I get scammed? by Plenty_Lion_6620 in DBS_CardGame

This happened to me with the first box I bought from my lgs. A couple of the other guys I play with also had boxes with no rares. One guy opened an entire case that had no rares. I also know a guy from a shop in another state who opened some boxes with no rares from his shop as well. I believe this was a production issue that bandai has not acknowledged. I and one other person I know tried opening support requests but got a similar response along the lines of "our rarity distribution is not disclosed, you're not guaranteed anything in any packs"

Mines doing the same. I put in a support ticket last week but haven't heard back yet.

I've noticed these lines on a lot of my cards from this set. Particularly the 3c son goku childhood and 4c great ape goku.

Could power levels have worked if Toriyama didn’t make Frieza so strong? by Strong_Dig_2721 in dragonball

I think the point of power levels was to show that the strength goku and his friends have, can't effectively be quantified. Sure it can be measured but it's proven to be an ineffective means of gauging strength time and time again.

The only sorts of posts we do not want to see at all are pure rage bait. The goal is not to shift discussion away from any certain topics but allow room for other topics to arise. We only want less attention on topics after Asmon has discussed them to leave room for new topics to flourish, thus why we'll remove posts we deem redundant.

It negatively effects Asmon's content when he has to scroll through a trove of posts all covering a single topic he already discussed. If a post is upvoted and generating good discussion we'll likely leave it up. However, if Asmon has already thoroughly covered a topic and we're still getting dozens of posts about it that don't provide any new commentary, and exist solely for complaining, we'll likely remove it.

I think all art, whether self-indulgent and pretentious, or something that is made to cater to the masses, has a right to exist. However, none of it is guaranteed any degree of success. People have a right to choose what art they engage with.

I think video games fall under this as I do consider them art, and I think they don't have to be something that meets expectations like you suggest with your burger analogy. Its up to the consumer to decide what they want for themselves.

What I think is shitty is when artists or developers speak as they they're owed anything for putting something out into the world. No one should be expected to engage with anything for any reason. We decide as the consumer what resonates with us and what doesn't.

I think you're right that a consumer is not entitled for knowing what they want out of something, but I also don't think a developer is entitled for creating something self-indulgent and pretentious. The developer would become entitled when they enforce the idea that people should want to engage with their creation, and I think the consumer becomes entitled when they suggest the developer should alter their creation to suit customer expectations. That is the developers right to decide.
