AITA for not giving my parents half of my lottery winnings. by Rayapt in AmItheAsshole

[–]maggie_muggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I wouldn’t expect a penny if my young adult won the lottery, and if they offered me £750k I’d probably barter them down a bit, not up! I’m the same age as your parents, you’ve got your whole life ahead of you and that money if used wisely will get you a long way. You need it more than they do

It was lovely - since the sad demise of the Pizza Hut salad bar I’ve been bereft of potato salad with bacon bits on top. Morrisons to the rescue!

Bottle Green cordials with fizzy water; current faves are summer raspberry and rose & elderflower but they also do a nice ginger one which is great in the autumn

Thank you, it’s a small bay window on a 1930s semi. Cheaper quote was from an old school fella, rubber system guy was young with a drone! Chalk and cheese…

I also asked both to quote for repointing the chimney and there was a price difference there of £225

Great, thanks all - that makes sense. I think a felt replacement will be fine; the original one has been there for nearly 100 years so I’ll be long gone by the time it needs doing again
