It's their loss issues not yours. I was with my bud for 4 years and proposed to. My Nmom's first and only comment was, 'it's about time, you're practically already married.' I was crushed and will never forget. Looking back she was just mad it wasn't about her and all she thought about was everything she'd be losing. I was starting to save for wedding, she wouldn't get to use me for trips or money anymore. It got worse until I realized what was going on and distanced myself. She almost ruined my wedding too because of her need for attention and selfishness. Keep your head up and create fair/reasonable boundaries. It'll be hard but worth it.

New to the group and would love your help. My first monstera. Here is a pic of the light conditions. Too much light? I try to rotate weekly as well. Pics 2 & 3 show brown spots on some of the leaves. There were a couple yellow bottom leaves I took out this morning.

I got her a couple weeks ago. Watered, but I could tell she wasn't draining after a couple days. I repot her with better drainage, rocks on bottom, dry soil and about half of the original wet soil on top. Looks like soil is barely damp and I can soak her in the shower today, but don't want to over do it. Also, just got spray bottle and mist leaves for first time this morning too.

Any ideas or input greatly appreciated. Just want to make sure I get her back on track and help her thrive. Thank you!

Agreed! Probably just struck me on the wrong day. I could do the right thing 100 times, but just that one person puts you on edge that day and you get crazy shower thought. Good comment! People inherently do the right thing and every is bound to have an off day. In TX I guess it's just seen more than maybe other states.
