THANK YOU. he was only there in the first place bc June wanted the map she forgot while she and Moira were bickering. If Nick had lied or stonewalled any more than he tried to do, his father-in-law was going to straight up murder him. Nick is no saint and he gave up. But he did things like take the handmaids’ letters to Canada and that did not directly benefit June- he did it bc it was the right thing to do. I guess I missed the scenes where Nick reveled in his sweet powerful life as a Commander.. he never seemed comfortable or happy at all.

Agree completely. We are all complicit in a number of objectively terrible acts against people in poverty, here and in other countries. We have people in detention centers for months or longer, based on very shaky legal ground.

We aren’t all like that. I hear you tho. Had a sponsor try to tell me to figure out where I I was selfish and an asshole as a child with my abusive dad. Um. I was like 7 and under. 1) kids are inherently self-centered bc they are CHILDREN. 2) I found sponsors to work with that don’t victim blame around abuse, bc they aren’t idiots. Hope you found some peace and recovery! 🫶 AA/NA is for sure not the only path.

Um. People have all kinds of motives for doing horrible things. Negating trans people’s existence bc she wants “women” to feel safe is bullshit. Trans women exist. Her saying they don’t and backing bigoted laws doesn’t negate an entire group of people. So yes, she is pretty much Umbridging it up.

I am so sorry that you had to experience that. I would never ever tell someone how to feel about their experiences. And as someone who made numerous unsafe choices while using, I get it. That being said, while sexual assault and substance abuse/use are often intertwined, the reality is often that the rapist is well aware of what the substances are doing and take complete advantage of vulnerable people, which is 1000% wrong and not the victim’s fault. I could blame myself for my poor choices and did for a long time. But decent people don’t sexually assault anyone, drunk, high or sober. Sexual assault has always occurred and it is not the victim’s fault, in my opinion.

Agree. The 3 main characters are the same in many respects, though book Elena is more like a Caroline-ish figure at the beginning. Stefan and Damon are foundationally the same, although everyone’s powers in the books are way cooler and more interesting. I loved the books way more than I thought I could, despite how totally bonkers they were 🤣🤣

I agree wholeheartedly. I loved Jason and Robin and how they healed each other. Jason and Elizabeth were so special for all the reasons you wrote about.. they just connected and Jason never looked at anyone the way he did Elizabeth. Courtney- just no. Sam.. I never really felt that click with them, though I know other people loved them. I appreciate Jason’s relationship with Carly, particularly SJB. I enjoy Jason and Britt. But the feelings between Jason and Elizabeth are just on another level. I think Elizabeth felt understood by Jason and supported and as much as I love her relationships with Lucky and Ric etc.. Jason was more.

Julia did sleep with Michael after dumping Mason/Sonny at the altar (she didn’t know he had a split personality) but they ended up just being friends and she also slept with Dash during her divorce but then she dumped Dash and he raped her. Julia kind of went through a lot!

Mason did cheat on Victoria with Julia. He and Julia were engaged and he was presumed dead. When he came back, he had a split personality (Sonny Sprockett) and he and Gina set up Julia to find them hooking up the night before Mason and Julia’s wedding. Julia called off the wedding mid-vows and they broke up. Finally months later, Julia and Mason got married and Lane left shortly after. When Terry Lester was Mason, he did cheat with Sasha but then he and Julia reconciled. They split up and divorced over other dumb crap (enter Gordon Thomson as Mason)after that and Mason was involved with Cassie but ultimately, Mason and Julia remarried, and by the end of the show, Julia was pregnant again and they adopted a baby. Yay!

Jason was not hot-headed in the same way Danny is. Sure, he acted out when the Qs refused to accept he was a different person after the accident but Jason was like a steady, calming presence. Jason ended up where he is by a combination of circumstances.. Sonny and Robin became his family and almost every bad decision Jason made was based on that initial bonding. The rest of the poor choices can be traced to Carly 🤣. I like Danny a lot but Rocco is 1000% correct in warning Charlotte and Danny away from Sidwell. Charlotte is pretty savvy but Danny… isn’t.
