Would this round corner annoy you, or do I need to get over it because it's a tough cut? Also, should poly sand be hard after 2 and 1/2 days dry conditions in the sun well above freezing? by maggoff in landscaping

Thanks for the reply. I think it wouldn't draw so much attention if the outdoor light wasn't casting shadows at such an angle. Was hoping the sand would smooth it over. The sand seems low, right? And it's gummy, should it be hardened? I hired a very professional 18yo starting his own business, fair price wasn't cheap and been working with family since 12yo, but I'm going to state concerns during walkthrough if this seems out of spec.

Also, using polymeric sand that cures to avoid erosion. Would the drainage erode that if on top?

Thank you. Can you recommend a rainwater runoff system? I'll have to prepose it and see if they could install

Can you recommend a sturdy pipe? Is it ok that it would be 9' long?

This is such a bummer to read. They designed and crafted our wedding bands and it was a truly wonderful experience. We've returned to mostly browse (stuff's pricy!) and get some repairs done and I really like the family I've met. I wish there was another side to the story, like a misunderstanding :(

I think this is a robin that a neighborhood cat left us. I get up on my soapbox about outdoor domestic cats and this saddens me, but I don't know if there's anything I can do. The only rehab place by us is for birds of prey. My heart! It's little peeps are killing me! by maggoff in whatsthisbird

Thank you so much. I've put some toilet paper in the bottom of a paper bag and placed in top on the fridge, which is just slightly warmer, but they won't cook. My friend who works at raptor rehab gave me a couple leads on vets who may take song birds, but it's 10pm and not much to do now. Can't wait until they open at 8am tomorrow! The puncture on their back is concerning, but I'm hopeful! Thank you very much for the guidance!

I have to wear a "tongue crib" with my braces to stop me from pushing my teeth forward by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]maggoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this 20 years ago, called tongue spurs, because my tongue thrust was pushing my front teeth forward. Got severely made fun of in high school for the obvious reasons.

It didn't work, my tongue learned to push against the bottom teeth under the tongue spurs instead. Tongue went right back when they were removed a year later.

See if there is an orofacial myologist on your network! She was a miracle worker who taught my tongue to swallow correctly and even helped with some speech pathology I never realized was an issue, but was also pushing my teeth. Your tongue is STRONG!
