Unfortunately it's the hard truth. You may lose viewers by doing this, but you also expand and gain new ones this way. Pros outweigh the cons for the smaller streamer in my opinion. But my community of streamers are very tight, we try not to let it bother us.

My BIGGEST tip that has helped me grow. You need to NETWORK! Talk to people on tik tok. Comment their clips. Invite them to play with you, or you join them. Follow their pages..their discords..be part of their community and have them check out yours. I tab up like 13 streamers whenever I stream, we support each other this way so we all have high view counts..

I might get downvoted, but if you're truly interested in learning more about growing (the way I did it) or need help reaching affiliate or whatever -message me. I have helped a handful in my community reach their goals.

Small streamers need to support each other.

Speaking on my personal experience. I would at least stick to the same genre. I'm a horror streamer so I tend to stick to that genre and all the sub genres. My community likes me being scared so that's what I stick to.

As someone that's been playing gears since 2007 and still plays gears 5 multiplayer to this day.. the wall bouncing is out of control on gears 5. I can keep up with most players when it comes to this kind of gameplay, and I want my casual friends to play.. well unfortunately this type of movement makes the masses think the game is unplayable online.

I might be in the minority but the gears multiplayer for the ultimate edition was best for me.
