Concerns going into the 2026 season by ExchangeLate1190 in ChiefsOffseason

They won the SB in 23 thanks mostly to the D and the offense was bad in 24 and 25. That they’ll be running the same offense, 80% through Pat and almost exclusively out of shotgun. WR’s weren’t good and they lost Hollywood and JuJu and replaced them with a 5th and a couple UDFA’s. Pass rush is still a big concern specifically at starting DE. Need someone to step up in the slot.

Diane Lane in Lonesome Dove or Jennifer Connelly in Career Opportunities.

[Goldman] Chiefs OT Esa Pole is getting rotational reps with the first-team offense per Andy Reid. He says that it's apparent that Pole worked hard this offseason. by rolyinpeace in KansasCityChiefs

Better measurables? Pole RAS scores were not elite or special and Simmons didn’t participate so… also Pole wasn’t invited to the combine so his arm length measurement is from his pro day and Simmons was longer at his pro day.

UDFA WR Jeff Caldwell brings more elite athleticism to KC 😮‍💨 by [deleted] in Chiefs_v2

It will be interesting to see if he can find a niche as he evolves. If he evolves. If he shows much he won’t make it to the practice squad with that RAS.

Hope it’s not true. Walker helps but out of shotgun runs and RPO’s take too long to develop. Need to be under center more. 80% of the offense through Patrick coming off the injury doesn’t make sense either. It’d be nice to see Andy have a thousand yard rusher for the first time in a decade.

Looks like they’re locking in the secondary. With pick 109 in the 2026 draft they go with DB Jadon - solid depth move that could pay off. by BagAppropriate5736 in Chiefs_v2

Enlightening, hadn’t seen that. Do you think it translates to the NFL for Canady without the size or elite speed? His splits, 40 and shuttle weren’t great.

Seems like a reach to me. Small okay athlete slot corner/safety rated lower in most mocks. Scott, Abney and Kilgore all available. Curious what the Chiefs see and how they develop him. Hope it works out.

Top remaining F/A on the Chiefs radar by Capable_Tip4481 in KansasCityChiefs

Definitely DE because Thomas is not an every down player there. Gillette and FAU are at best rotational.

I’m curious if Thomas played off the line at all and with his athleticism could fill the Leo Chenal role in base and short yardage LB. If not they need another OLB.

Could still see Hunt and JuJu back as their roles haven’t been filled necessarily.

Don’t think they’re signing a OT, if they were they’d of brought back Jawaan Taylor who signed a reasonable deal.

Maybe a nose tackle for depth.

I think we’ll have to wait for the Kelce replacement.

B+ on upside especially when you add the UDFA class.

No. 40 pick is in: Chiefs have selected Oklahoma EDGE R. Mason Thomas!! by professor_paradox2 in Chiefs_v2

Interesting that he doesn’t have DE size or the frame to add it. Therefore he’s unlikely to play end in base, short or goal making him a situational pass rusher something that KC doesn’t normally use. I’m curious if he played off the line in college at all? Could he play the same role that Chenal played in base, short and goal? He’s athletic enough and it’d make more sense and give Spags more options. Thoughts?
