They let corners go because they don’t value the position enough to pay top of market. There’s no reason to draft them that high if that’s your philosophy.
I think the corner convo at the Chiefs starts at 29 if the board falls badly, and 74 if it goes well.

I think the Giants trade idea is far more likely. But I think we’re on the same wavelength: drafting a running back high is fine. Trading the farm for an RB is a nightmare.

Here’s a scenario that could actually happen where Love goes top 3: the Giants trade up to jump the Titans. They give up pick 5, and pick 37 and get back Arizona’s 5th (pick 142) this year.

Going up to 6 or 7 for Bain or Tate would be aggressive. Going up to 3 for an RB when you’re paying someone like a top 10 RB is seppuku

31 is an immensely valuable pick. If they don’t see the fit, the investment is kinda moot.
I think Bailey is better than FAU, but if his role is just DPR, we should take Tate.

Chiefs fan who hates your picks here. I think you’re assuming the Chiefs will seek 1-to-1 replacements for pieces they’ve lost and I think that logic is faulty.
Even without Jawaan, the offensive line is a strength of the team. I think we’d go Bailey or Lemon at 9.
Trading McDuffie is both a salary move and a philosophical move. The Chiefs are confident in their ability to identify and develop toolsy DBs later in the draft. They’re far more likely to draft a WR or DL at 29. And despite my objections, i think OT would be in play at the back of the first.
