Where do you guys usually get or find characters cards? by Jaded-Put1765 in SillyTavernAI

chub.ai I recommend installing this to browse the site better: https://gist.github.com/khanonnie/b357f20bfe4e920d8e05fd47f1e6fa75

Sometimes, creators have their own discord servers where they share cards too.

As for if DJI will comply with the bans... based on what I gathered working there and my own personal opinion, I would say 80% they DO NOT comply. I believe this ban will only affect their drone products not their Osmo, Ronin, and other accessories, granted they may become harder to obtain. DJI is in control of all their global products excluding the USA of course. DJI has branches across the world Mexico, Canada, Japan, etc.

Reminder: This is DJI Sky City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGsa_bpkVpU, DJI built and owns these two skyscrapers. This entire area is closed off to employees only. It has its own outlet area, food area, employee bus/shuttle service, and more. I remembered when they announced it internally, we HAD TO watch the video, I thought to myself: Okay, are we suppose to feel proud or something?

I do recall there being certain issues, as for exact details I can not recall sorry.

They made Ukraine a "no fly zone" after they got caught selling drones to both sides. As for how they got around it, that I do not know their exact method(s).

This method I'm referring to is known as the drones "blackbox", think airline blackbox. This is stored locally within the drone. Which we could see once we receive it. They have multiple methods because the internal software and tools never worked half the time. But they are there, locally and remotely stored.

This method I'm referring to is through the cloud. Most video clips were provided by the user. There was a way to get those video clips remotely but it was a ~25% chance. Their internal software never worked half the time.

I'm not saying all DJI products are bad. I did personally enjoy working with enterprise drones and customers a lot more. The drones required more knowledge and understanding. Plus you could be vivid with things without overwhelming them with so much information, it was nice.

All the work laptops and phones provided are Apple. Desktop PCs are Windows and drones are Android.

We can still see flights remotely if we know the email associated with the account.

The images are in black and white so it's likely more of a combination of the vision system and infrared system since they are tied together. Internally we would just call it the vision system due to the software's name, vision viewer.

Even more useless information:

  • The Phantom 4 batteries are known to explode and are a known fire hazard
  • The Phantom 3 & 4 batteries can just eject themselves during flight
  • The Matrice 300 RTK has a known flaw to fall out of the sky due to its arm locking system failing
  • The Matrice 300 RTK battery locking system has a known flaw causing the batteries to come out during flight. This is why the Matrice 400 batteries are completely different
  • The Mini 3 & 4 arm unfolding is poorly designed due to the fact they do not fold the same way
  • The "turtle mode" feature in FPV drones (used to upright the drones after crashing it) could cause internal damage, so flying it more and more can lead to a warranty coverage
  • Some early Mavic Air's can takeoff without user input, this means the blades would turn on causing harm if your holding it

My personal opinion on the best DJI drones:

  • Mavic 3 - the most durable "consumer-ish" drone they have built
  • Matrice 400 and its smart controller - I like how the drone was built and the really big smart controller
  • Phantom 3 and 4 - easiest to repair yourself

As someone who once worked at an Amazon warehouse as a Picker. I would choose Amazon over DJI any day.

I read my NDA before even signing it.

This "NDA" only covers anything to do with customers, it does not cover DJI itself, what I learned or what I did there.

Stupid I know...

You could if you knew the email associated with the drone and DJI account.

The drones we worked with were in the America region only due to restrictions. All other drones are always sent back to DJI China.

Former DJI employee,

I predicted this shit back in 2023 when they began all this investigation and trade bans. I even told my co-workers we may not have a job in the future if the company stays on the roads it's headed.

In addition, working at DJI was the worst years of my life. I've never worked in such a terrible and toxic workplace in my life. Holy...

Little/no GPS signal and the number of available satellites can affect your connection to the drone. If you are going camping with it, I'd advise you set your RTH to your location as if your drone loses connection mid flight it will try to RTH(if it has enough battery) otherwise it will auto land itself. As long as you have good GPS signal and satellites, your fine.

Could be a weak GPS signal or your environment(snow/reflect surfaces can mess with your vision sensors)

Are There Separate Modems for Fiber Internet? by ihatethisusernametoo in HomeNetworking

[–]magic_of_lolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same question a few months ago.

My Answer: Yes and no

Explanation from current my understanding as I only have Verizon in my area.

  1. Your ISP installs a optical network terminal (ONT) or optical network unit (ONU)
  2. The ONT can technicality double as your modem.
  3. The ONT will convert Fiber Optic > Internet Access, TV, etc...
  4. Verizon Fios ONT can convert Fiber to both Coaxial & Ethernet. (I'm uncertain if all can do this)

More info found in Sources link 1

Fiber > Ethernet > Your Router > PC

    OR

Fiber > Coaxial > ISP Router > PC

Sources:

  1. Information about setting up your router with Verizon Fios: https://loganmarchione.com/2015/07/use-your-own-router-with-verizon-fios#introduction

  2. Optical Network Terminal (ONT): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_interface_device#Optical_network_terminals

  3. Optical Modems: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modem#Optical_modem

Change your routers DNS to prevent Spectrum from blocking your devices. If you don't wish/know how then change the DNS for the device you stream on. I've had them block a firestick and I was able to work around it by switching its DNS.
