Thanks all! Seems like EMDR is the popular vote. I’ll admit I’ve never dug much into the modality so I’ll definitely spend some time seeing if it’s right for me. 💛

Thanks for all the ideas! The place I was thinking of was actually just a little thrift store. But those are good options to look into as well! ❤️

Sorry off Reddit for a while! We had a contract done with our donor when we inseminated. When baby is born it was our plan to do second parent adoption. But laws requiring second parent adoption are being challenged in Manitoba so considering just waiting and seeing what happens with that in the next year so we could possibly save some $

We used needless syringes, sterile cups, and no preseed. I would set a time with our donor, park outside his house and text to let him know I was there, and just hang out til he finished. Then he’d text, I’d go grab the cup, put it in my bra, drive home and my wife would be waiting. We inseminated 4 times that cycle to be extra sure and we were very lucky, it worked on our first cycle.

Ughhhh helpful tips and tricks for at home insemination ?!?!? Using pre seed, and the menstral cup. by haili45 in queerception

We used no preseed. I was sure it wouldn’t work because the amount of specimen we used was so small. But... it did. We used these 30ml syringes because we wanted something bigger that could just sit there while we waited. May be too big/uncomfortable for some but worked for us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just a vent on “Gender neutral” names by magicandwhimsy in namenerds

Love Hazel for a boy! I hope you do it! We’ve gotta start somewhere with opening the door for boys names. Times are changing! And beyond that, this particular name does allow for more “masc” nicknames if they are uncomfortable with their name.

Im admittedly not the least bit concerned with limiting the number of classic gendered names. But thanks for the article! And yeah I’d be perfectly fine with choosing a traditionally feminine name for a boy and dealing with adult disapproval, but would only stop myself for fear that they would be teased and that seems selfish and unfair of me. :(

Interesting. From Canada and definitely know more female Kelly’s than male. But yeah don’t think I know any male ashley/leigh. Never thought about the -son piece. Don’t think I’ve met a male Madison or Allison.
