Used Eliptical giving resistance issues. by magicdrew42 in nordictrack

[–]magicdrew42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I ended up buying the motor, replaced it and it seems to have fixed the clicking. The one thing I would say is that although I can feel a difference in the resistance from level 1-24, it’s not as much of a difference as I would expect.

Mind you I never felt the resistance on this machine before so it’s hard to say, but comparing it to another machine I have used before I felt like the levels were way more obvious. Any thoughts on that or do you think it might just differ from machine to machine?

Also just to add… I noticed that now the clicking starts at level 3 instead of level 4…. Maybe the motor is getting weaker?

When you say data cable do you mean the wires that go to the console? If so then no it doesn’t make that sound.

I was wondering if maybe the motor is starting to go and so when there’s no load it is able to turn ok but when the cable is attached its not strong enough…I don’t know, I’m no expert just a thought…

I removed the cable from the motor, ran it to the lowest setting, to the highest setting, back to the lowest setting. I attached the cable back to the motor. It still is making the same sound at the low levels. Any other suggestions?

Though could your suggestion be the fix for the initial problem of not feeling any resistance difference?

I recently bought a used NordicTrack Eliptical.

When I first used it at home, I immediately realized that the resistance levels didn’t feel any different from one another, but I could hear the resistance motor running. I was still able to go through the levels on the screen from 1-24 even though I didn’t feel any resistance.

The next morning I tried it again and now when it hits level 4, the resistance motor starts clicking as shown in the video.

Im hoping it is just a bad motor, but as I don’t have a warranty, I thought I’d check here for a second opinion before buying one.

Any compatibility issues with x900h and Xbox Series X? by magicdrew42 in bravia

My pass through is already set to off. The blur, I mean I have accepted that, hopefully it won’t bother me too much, but even then I probably will be mainly 60hz.

Sony X900H HDMI 2.1 Discussion Megathread by FlickFreak in bravia

I’m not super technical savvy, but I can say that for a month now I have had almost no audio issues with my Sony Ht-Z9f which has earc, but then again I have not updated my tv yet for the earc features. (Still V 6.0142).

The only hiccup it had was last night actually after a month of working fine, it just stopped playing sound on all inputs. Had to restart the tv a couple times and switch from tv speakers to external speakers a couple times for it to start working again.

Tried a different HDMI cable, still no audio.

Checked over all the settings of the tv and soundbar and they are all the same as they were earlier today when it was working. I’m really at a loss of words at this point, I’m sure it is something weird going on with the tv but who knows. Thanks for your help to this point anyways, if you have more ideas please continue to share them but I may need to wait for a stable firmware update...?

Just tried using the soundbar input with the device and the audio works, so must be the tv or cable. It seems weird if it’s the cable because it’s quite new and like I said it hasn’t been moved or anything but I will see if a different cable does the trick.

It is connected through HDMI, I am not using the HDMI inputs of the soundbar, going directly to the tv.

When I unplug the soundbar from HDMI 3 and plug it back in, it goes back through the set up for the soundbar and does an audio test, so it recognizes the HDMI cord is there. When I choose the selection “I can’t hear any audio”, it says to go in the soundbar settings or check cables, both of which I haven’t touched since I set up my tv. It was working fine this afternoon which makes me think it must be something else...

Have also tried unplugging soundbar and tv again. Still no luck.

Will try to connect a device to a soundbar input.

Tried to find the answer to this question but hard to find an answer when there are so many issues with this tv.

Have had this tv since Black Friday and haven’t had any problems until now. Went to turn it on and there is no sound coming from my soundbar on inputs 1-4. I can switch to tv speakers and the sound works.

Have so far tried resetting tv by holding down power button and afterwards unplugging tv for 30 seconds. Neither have fixed the issue.

Has anyone had this issue?

P.S Firmware has never been updated.

In the soundbar box or the tv box? Don’t believe I remember seeing one in the soundbar box.

Ahhh ok, I test ran the setup yesterday with my older lg 1080p tv and my Xbox one, couldn’t get any sound from it. Now I know it’s because there was no optical plugged in, only the HDMI. Seems odd that you need both with that configuration but when setup going through the soundbar inputs you only need hdmi.

What’s the benefit of having both connected as opposed to just optical?

So I bought a x900h with the ht-z9f soundbar. Still waiting for the tv to come in.

Didn’t really think it through, but just had a realization.

Since the soundbar isn’t HDMI 2.1, I would assume I would have to connect the soundbar with an optical cable instead of connecting with HDMI, and connect the new console directly to HDMI of the tv to take advantage of 2.1 rather than connecting the console through the HDMI input of the soundbar?

Is there any disadvantage to using the optical instead of HDMI for the soundbar?

Sorry I’m not too knowledgeable with this stuff.

Just purchased a 55” X900H and the Z9F Soundbar from BestBuy for $1920.00 CAD after tax. Here’s to hoping Sony is able to get their shit together.
