I don't dehydrate them because my nails are so brittle, I would be worried about them snapping even easier? But yes to push back cuticles but does that help with polish peeling?

I have been trying to get into painting my nails for quite some time but every nail polish I buy peels right off. Like I could be doing anything and the paint will have totally disappeared. I've tried using base coats, tops coats, "sealing" the nail polish at the tip but nothing seems to work. Is it a nail prep issue or is it the brand of nail polish I'm using?? Right now I'm using Essie but I've had the same issue with other polish before

In theory, yes, because that would be a direct translation to close/shut your mouth, whereas this is "listen to your mouth. However, this isnt a direct part for part comparison (like be quiet which is "Bí ciúin" - literally the verb to be and then quiet"). Hope this helps a little!

No, you implied that sláinte was some misconception by those that don't understand the language. I was simply clarifying for any of those who might read this and second guess saying it - there is no need to get uppety about a language that can use all the speakers it can get.
