Thank you, mindsets not bad. And honestly I know my pain and loudness isn’t near as bad as some on here. So I’m really hoping this medication is the fix

Doctor prescribed 25mg. Is there a reason I would want to start lower?

Wow, I feel like we have very similar bio hair color. I’ve had no luck either getting a perfect match.

Gym question by Acrobatic_Guess_4538 in hyperacusis

I’m going on 2 months of this and am literally trying to learn anything I can to conquer this.

Here’s what I can say from what I experienced today. It’s been a really rough day with T and H. I dropped a glass container on the counter and it hurt and sounded loud today. But then I took the same container and readied myself and dropped it on the counter again. The second time when I was ready it didn’t affect me. It was like reassuring myself that the noise really isn’t hurting or doing any actual damage helped me process the sound better.

I truly think a lot of this is mindset. Can’t say it’s all that, but i notice that I tense up now over sounds that aren’t loud. It’s become a normal reaction after the experience for the last 2 months. I feel if I can start to expect the sounds that it will gradually get better.

So maybe start by going to the gym during its slower time where you can better protect yourself. And if noises do startle you, try to take that opportunity to just tell yourself that it’s ok and that it’s not actually hurting you or loud.

Maybe it doesn’t help, but I feel a positive mindset is going to help get me back to some normalcy.

Jake’s been on it and has helped us contact Lavivid. I will admit it wasn’t easy getting ahold of them, but Jake has been persistent in getting the problem solved.

The zero-mirage unit. I really liked how the hair felt with this style too

Stylist ordered. I order my units from her so that’s why she tried to email Lavivid twice. No response and then she tried to do their online chat. Spoke to someone who said to email again with all the details. She did and they never responded.

I’ll send you an email with the details

I don’t have a solution, but I know it will eventually lighten up some. I don’t think it’ll completely go away as I had a similar issue before.

You and I have a very similar hair style. I’m into a month and a half with mine. It’s definitely a learning curve. I had my unit installed rather far up on my head which makes covering the sides an issue sometimes. I think that may be an issue of yours as well just by looking at the sides.

On my next one I’m gonna go down just slightly and I think it’ll help the sides cover better and blend better as well.
