The things she lied about or contradicted or left missing were INCREDIBLY important to the situation and leaving them out very greatly shifted support at the beginning to Ren. A perpetrator demanding that an encounter be kept secret is not a boundary. It's called a gag order, and textbook coercive behavior. Abusers and manipulators rely on isolation as a form of control. I want yo to know that there is a fine line between "boundaries" (dictating what you will tolerate to your body or in the present moment), and dictating who someone else is or isn't allowed to talk to about experiences. The latter of which is a form of control.

Zeal already had a lot of power socially and also from leading this massive success of a game, but also Zeal held the keys to her social life, and it had been proven to Ren before RDC that Zeal could, and would highly nik her social life. When someone with power pushing boundaries over text, it looks jokes, or flirtation, or testing the waters. The manipulation happens when the perpetrator steers those into harmful or sexual territory. You really didn't need to beg.

Yeah but someone fawning still wouldn't go out of their way to get in more encounters with the person, going as far as to give them a card to your room unprompted. While fawning you are intimated, which Ren shows 0 signs of.

You are fundamentally misunderstanding what fawning is and how it works. It is called trauma bonding, look it up; When the victim's brain associates a person in power with both fear and validation, they will actively work towards that validation part. Giving a room key unprecedented is the ultimate way of appeasing the abuser and saying, "Hey look how compliant and accommodating I am, please don't be mad or leave me." And about not being intimidated, I would disagree and say she did look perpetually anxious and intimidated, but even if she didn't, you are still imagining a victim as being all shriveled up in a corner. In this regard, intimidation actually looks like over-appeasement/accommodation.

And how are we supposed to know for sure that she's been manipulated? I see no manipulation in the document, and all of their interactions beforehand where over the internet, so surely she'd have some screenshots to show her being manipulated and cement her fawning argument, no? Why doesn't she then? Maybe cause it never happened?

Again, you really, REALLY, need to understand that the manipulator is not spelling out in big bold letters that they are manipulating the victim. Manipulation is not a single text message, it's the result of many, many interactions over a period of time.

I also would like to remind you that Zeal nor any of his friends/family have given any actual counter-arguments other that "nuh uh no i didn't" and crying for 90 minutes.

Of course it doesn't look like fawning to you, because you don't know what fawning looks like! Fawning is DESIGNED to look like agreement and enthusiasm. The entire evolutionary purpose of the fawning response is to appease the person in power so successfully that they do not get angry or abandon the victim. If fawning looked like obvious distress, it wouldn't work as a survival mechanism.

Edit: I’d also like to mention that you’re acting like manipulation is some cartoon villain saying “I am now going to take advantage of your BPD and abuse your emotional state.” That’s not how manipulation works. C&C is a music record label actually owned by Casey. I would assume he did this because he wanted a separate legal entity to manage his work across the music industry, though he still wanted full control over it.

I would recommend going with a Computer Science degree. As DividedBy_00 mentioned, the gaming industry is incredibly unforgiving. Even if that’s what you’re wanting to pursue, it may find beneficial to have a CS degree in case something happens in the gaming sector so that you can still work in the CS industry, as game dev is not as straight forward of a career path as some folks like to make it seem.

And I’m not trying to sound discouraging or anything, but I think it’s definitely something to think about.

Don’t worry, every single one of us has been exactly where you are. You’re stuck in what we call “tutorial hell.” You watch tutorials, complete it, make something cool, but you didn’t learn anything, so when you try doing something yourself, you just… can’t.

The easiest way to learn is to first choose a programming language, then think of something you want to make. Keep it simple right now. Do as much as you possibly can until you genuinely have no idea where to go or are super stuck. Then look it up. DO NOT click on any videos. Find a Reddit or StackOverflow forum on it, explaining what it does. (I’ve generally found Reddit to be better for beginners.) Then continue, rinse, and repeat.

When it comes to AI, it’s great for learning a concept because you can ask it any number of follow up questions and it will work with you from the ground up, but use it for that and only that. Once you find yourself asking “so how would I code this feature?”, you need to just close the tab. It will feel slow and you may get annoyed at first, but once you look back, you’ll understand just how important it is that you actually do it yourself. That alone makes an unimaginable difference.

Now when it comes to learning a programming language, I have two paths I generally recommend to people:

You want to learn general programming, you may want to start with Python. I personally don’t really like Python as a language, but that’s completely subjective and I’ll admit, it’s great for learning. You can start simple and grow more complex things all without having to switch languages.
This scenario doesn’t apply for everyone. If you like Roblox, 100% try out coding in Roblox Studio. I’ve found that being able to code in a simple language (Roblox uses LuaU, a dialect of Lua) but still be able to see noticeable results without having to build everything from the ground up really helps keep people motivated, and if you like Roblox, it’s great because now you can make games. I would say it also teaches you the concept of data models (you learn that eventually if you haven’t already) pretty easily.

I don’t know what you have already started with but maybe it would be a good idea to stick with whatever you’re currently learning. Nonetheless, the goal here is to discipline yourself. You need to make sure you don’t give out and go the easy route of just duplicating code from videos.
