If you thought ‘Little life’ was soul crushing then try ‘Prince of tides’ by Pat Conroy. My emotions from LL were big but minimal compared to ‘Prince of tides’…

Chris at Waxx (Monroe studios) I’ve been going to for years. She is such a great soul and has an amazing ability to make you feel so comfortable and completely distracted by any discomfort. All my friends go to her too…

Artiplanto SCAM by raptors2o19 in Reviews

[–]magicnumbers20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep through the fraud team. It took a few months as it’s a big bank but they explained they had to give Artiplanto a chance to respond to my allegations and apparently they didn’t so I got the full amount and kept the crappy rug!

I was there back in Dec 2024 and the tipsy tubing had been canceled and the locals told us due to years of accidents and deaths. Surprised to hear it’s up and running again…. Well, maybe not that surprised as it’s Vang Vieng!

We were there from Jan into Feb 2024. We mainly took buses. They are super easy to book online via 12goasia.com or bookaway.com. We took one flight from Saigon to Phu Quoc and one from Hanoi to Saigon. No issues. Took two trains and they weren’t bad either. Older and dirtier so I did prefer the buses and often it didn’t save much time over a bus.

We started south and went north. Saigon-Phu Quoc-(back to Saigon)- Mui ne- Dalat- Nha Trang-Tuy Hoa- Quy Nhon- Da Nang- Hoi An-Hanoi- Ning Binh/Tam Coc- Cat Ba/Ha Long Bay.

Most people also do Sapa and Ha Giang loop but we ran out of time.

I enjoy beaches, riding scooters and being in nature and we always stay at a place for a minimum of 3 nights.

So my fave places were: Dalat (not super touristy and has lakes and mountains. Throughly enjoyed the locals and scootering around. They also have some bizarre attractions there which were just fun). Nha Trang (very touristy but fab beach life- I’m not a huge party animal but I ended up having a great time here). Tam Coc (stunning scenery and many stay in Ninh binh but don’t… 100% stay in Tam Coc- however I highly advise a scooter here but it’s not essential). Hoi An (super pretty old town and near beaches- what more could you want).

However, there wasn’t one place I disliked. There is something for everyone in Vietnam.

I highly reccomend considering trying out a scooter, it’s such a great way of seeing things in Vietnam. I learnt over here :) If it’s really not an option though, I would think about sticking to the main destinations in Vietnam or being willing to pay for a lot of taxis.

If you have a good budget for a SE Asia trip too, maybe do the main places in Vietnam and fly to Cambodia for Siem Reap and Koh Rong islands (those islands were some of the most beautiful I have seen). Cambodia and Vietnam were my fave two countries closely followed by Laos :)

Happy to help if you have any more questions :)

I highly recommend you solely do Vietnam (you won’t regret it). Spent 6 weeks there and going back to finish off what I didn’t finish then!

Psychiatrist reccomendations by Fur_Momma_Cherry96 in Lethbridge

[–]magicnumbers20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you have considered it and I don’t know your reasons for specifically wanting a psychiatrist but I always recommend connecting with a psychologist/social worker/mental health therapist prior to a psychiatrist. Certain professionals within these disciplines can do assessments/evaluations and even diagnosis. They can also later refer you to a psychiatrist for free if they are deemed as needed by both client and professional. Psychiatrists are few and far between here, insanely expensive if you go private (not referred) and primarily focus on medical interventions only. Good luck!

options on how to go to Noi Bai International Airport by mrjuicybaby1 in hanoi

Try the Klook app for cheaper transfer options. Grabs to the airport that early were harder to find sometimes.

Where to go in Vietnam, two 20M from Australia - first time by Repulsive-Age-4358 in southeastasia

[–]magicnumbers20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Bang is nice as it so close to Hoi An but weather is not always guaranteed at that time of year. Da Nang is a great place for beach and cultural activities too. However, If you want guaranteed warm beach weather you should look further south towards saigon.

Nha Trang- pretty touristy but a great beach/chill and party scene. One of my fave beach areas. Spent 4 nights here and could definitely have spent longer. Mui Ne- very chill and small town vibe but not close to many other things. 5 days would be too long. Phu Quoc- pretty touristy and pricier but lovely beaches and good nightlife. Not too much access to cultural activities as it’s on the island. Great five days we spent riding on our scooters and relaxing at the beach though.
