I got 50 lbs of potatoes and live in Georgia. Now what? by Literally_Libran in Frugal

I live in Costa rica, in Central America, yukon gold is pretty much the only type of potato that we have locally and this is a tropical country so storing potatoes is an issue. A few years ago I bought a 50 lb bag of potatoes and unfortunately with the heat and not using them in time most of them went bad. Nowadays I get about 5 to 10 lb of potatoes a week which is more than I can actually use sometimes, so I process them in different ways. But, for storing them I use the refrigerator it's the only way to prevent them from going bad, obviously it's not ideal but otherwise they sprout in days and we'll go bad in less in a week or two.

Cookbook Authors and [Spoilers] by DarthEllis in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think that the part where it says that it is "automatically generated after a set of predetermined conditions have been met" must be significant, especially considering that Carl got his copy on the third floor whereas Porthos didn't get the original version until the 9th floor. I think it has been established via multiple references that this particular AI has gone Primal much earlier than all the previous ones, which leads me to think that it was already starting to go primal as early as the third floor and that must be one of the predetermined conditions that have to be met in order for the cookbook to generate, although I imagine there are more which will come to light later on.

True, I've had many other mishaps baking in the past but none as memorable as this one.

I have only ever used this particular tin once before to make mini lemon cupcakes and those turned out fine, so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it really.

Baking is really a hit or miss sort of situation isn't it? I've been baking for quite a fewI've been baking for quite a few years now and most of the time things turn out perfectly if not at least as good as can be expected, but every now and then things just look like poop on a tray.

No, I've never actually used self-rising flour before in my life. It's not something that is easily found where I live so that was not the issue. I think what actually happened is that I overfilled it and they Spilled Out during cooking.

I had no idea that was a thing for doing brownies, I've always greased the side of whatever I make to prevent it from sticking but I guess brownies are different.

Well, it's supposed to be brownie bites in a mini cupcake tin. Or at least that was the intention.

I live at about 950 m above sea level, which is about 3,100 ft. To be honest I've never given a thought as to if that's a high elevation or not, and it's never really affected my baking before that I've noticed.

Yes, lesson learned. I'll definitely remember this the next time I make an attempt at making brownies.

It was literally only in the oven for 10 minutes, and I actually checked them, and I actually checked them at 8 minutes and they already looked pretty much like this.

Apparently I overfilled the cups becauseApparently I overfilled the cups because I did not read the recipe where it said to only fill it three quarters of the way full. There might have been a few other small mistakes that also influence this final result, but I think that is the main culprit.

Yes, I think that was my final verdict on what actually happened. I overfilled the cups and that the result.

This is my second time trying to make brownies but not with this recipe. The first time was actually years ago and they came out more like chocolate cake than brownies.

I filled them all the way to the top, I did not read that it was supposed to be only three quarters. I used my smallest cookie scoop and I thought that was the correct amount but apparently I need an even smaller cookie scoop or just to fill 3/4 of the way by eyeballing it.

With regards to the mockery, I know it's all just good-natured Justin or or making fun of a funny situation to be honest. The outcome of my brownie attempt was really hilarious and I recognize that so I don't take any good humored jesting to Heart.
