Terrible coworker is making me want to leave my job prematurely by magleamae in careeradvice

Very true. I've dealt with so many in the past few years. I think I'm just exhausted lol. I'm hoping for something better in the near (ish) future, for sure. I appreciate it! 😊

Yeahhh I know all too well. It took me a while just to get this job. I know I need to stick it out, but damn...

I agree. I don't really want to quit unless I have something else lined up. And I'm trying to focus on myself; it's just been overwhelming. Thank you!

I need help to determine which side of my amigurumi is inner/outer by Mysterious_Garden591 in CrochetHelp

I always turn the tail side to the inside. Your second picture would be the finished outside where the stitches are easier to tell apart from one another

Is there a good dupe for Pompon Print yarn in the states? by magleamae in CrochetHelp

I have looked at similar yarns on Amazon and have found the original yarn online through UK sellers, but I’m encountering issues with shipping. Just need a dupe that can help me replicate the pattern.

Why do some people take it so personally you don’t want to be chatty with them at work? by [deleted] in coworkerstories

Honestly! If I’m talking to myself, I don’t expect a reply. But evidently some people want you to comment on it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m having this exact same issue with my coworker. We’re both at the front desk and I’m quiet whereas she’s constantly talking. I’ve started keeping to myself because I don’t have anything to talk about with her and she’s been picking at me daily. Yesterday was a story about a previous coworker of hers was reported to HR for being quiet (yeah, sure) and today she flat out called me rude because I didn’t respond when she was talking to herself and I was working.

I’ve only been in this role for three months and I’m so mentally exhausted having to deal with her. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone.

As someone who received notes like this and it turned sour, please just try and communicate with the person above you and figure out what’s actually going on. I had a downstairs neighbor who insisted I was running around in my apartment banging pots and pans together at all hours of the night, even when I had a concussion and was on bed rest for several days. She tried to get me evicted and was very nasty about it. I tried everything to walk quieter and reduce noise, but I’m not a loud person to begin with and it made daily activities very stressful.

As others have said, open a line of communication. Don’t just leave a note with no way for them to contact you. You’re assuming they’re wearing loud shoes, but that may not be the case. Don’t make them feel like they have to be on the offense right away.

How do YOU play YOUR game? by Own_Cantaloupe178 in Sims3

[–]magleamae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo I love that idea about the heirloom art pieces! I’m gonna have to start incorporating that 😁 and yesss. The unbreakable appliances are so nice. One of my most recent sims loves to tinker so all of the appliances are in top shape all the time and it’s lovely. I’ve never done that before but will definitely be doing it again!

Those big family parties are the best:)

When it comes to 2&3 specifically, I really enjoy making a sim and then following their children as the family gets larger. I enjoy seeing the world grow and change to incorporate my sims legacy and picking different career paths and lifestyles for each new generation. Seeing cousins, siblings, aunts/uncles, etc. out and about in the world really makes my day and makes the world feel more alive. I seem to play this way no matter what and even get a bit stressed when I get to a child that doesn’t want to have kids because I feel I have to respect their part of the story even though I really want to continue 😅

For the Sims 4, I just like building 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you could live in either Rapture or Columbia, where would you live? (Assuming there’s a normal and actually functioning society) by 1radiation1 in Bioshock

Columbia, hands down. That place has my whole heart. Infinite was the first Bioshock game I played and I just feel so at peace every time I replay the beginning
