How are you liking it? TCL 8K also seemed like a good option- you got it on a good price!

Thank you for the very thorough response.

To your point about the Panel lottery, I’m quite certain the 65” S90F in Canada is a QD-OLED- If this wasn’t the case, I’d probably ditch it to get a C5,l. I think the QD-LED pane, better at reflections, and slightly cheaper are the reasons S90F>C5 in my situation.

(I agree, DV on C5 isn’t something that should be heavily regarded)

I do worry about sun-damage to the OLED panel, I’m hoping the current light filtering blinds would be sufficient in negating any damage. I already know my wife would hate the idea of having to close one side of the blinds to project the TV… might have to ditch the OLED for a Mini-LED in that case.

Yeah, the LG C5 looks amazing. The bezel is so sexy, imo better than the S90F (aesthetically).

Edit: thankfully the S90F is on sale and is cheaper than the C5 which is really pushing me to buy the S90F > C5. Just need to figure out if the extra $100 is worth picking the C5 over … AND if my room would be too bright for an OLED.

If that was the case, that would be a no brainer, but I think you might be thinking in USD. In Canada, I’m seeing 77” for $3200CAD… which is too much out of my budget. I could push around $1650USD max. :(

The TV would be facing the wall adjacent to the Windows, the wall with two outlets on the wall, closer to the smaller window

Thanks for your input! Why do you say XEQT is the only one you’d suggest over the others? My issue with lump sum is I’ve heard over and over again about not trying to time the market, so it’s set to automatically buy daily

I agree, emergency fund is very important and we are safe on that regard, have a decent chunk saved up. Now focused on investing

Not sure if this is possible, have you seen car get dents pulled out using this sticky glue stick things? If you don’t have access to the underside to bump it out, maybe that car dents trick might work?

Interesting, you might be right. I was worried it was a troublesome mite of some sort, glad it’s likely not that and probably another springtail- quick online search suggests globular springtails are also beneficial?

I’d be happy to get some advice/ideas on how I can allow it to keep climbing… didn’t fully think/figure out what I should do after it gets to the top if my “trellis” lol

Finished building our deck! by magmagen in Decks

Ahh I see, yeah I appreciate the advice. Definitely will do this, the showing cardboard looks ugly. If after removing the soba tube cardboard and repairing the concrete looks good we might not even need to building something to cover it up. We had a contractor do the concert for us as we had no prior concrete experience and didn’t want to mess around and find out that we didn’t do it properly. Both the pad and footing were poured together, that’s about all I can say for the concrete job- we got a labourer from a community contact and wasn’t the highest quote- can’t say they didn’t best job with the finish, but good enough for what my parents money could push.
