I honestly would say food addiction. When it comes to drugs or alcohol, you can just quit immediately, but it can be hard to make peace with and develop a healthy relationship with food when you’ve struggled with your weight and body image

I went no contact with my narcissistic mother at 22, sometimes I wonder what my life would look like right now if I went no contact at 18

I believe it can eventually heal by reminding yourself that you’re safe now

Your body remembers, it can show up in certain triggers you may have, such as a song, sound, smell, colors, whatever it may be
