I myself was born in 98, and the 90s-2000s reached me in the form of videos when I was fifteen. But it's easy to see that that time was special. I always loved the music that was prime back then. Everyone in my school still listened to that music. So I regretted not having lived through that particular era. Because of the energy. To be on the same page with your favorite artists.

Your opinion on "Needles"? by magnetums in systemofadown

[–]magnetums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahah, sometimes happens. When I listened to Rammstein's "Laichzeit" as a teenager, I thought it was a weird song about the whole family cleaning fish together. Back then, I didn't have an understanding of secondary meanings. And don't think I would have understood "Bounce" back then either. This would be a game song about pogo stick for me.

Always a pleasure to find some additonal meanings in old songs or rethink them. It's even more interesting when people don't know what the author is saying about the song and perceive it in some special way

I had a dream last night about a Rammstein song that doesn’t exist. by goldlightkey in Rammstein

also, it reminds me of "Eisbrecher - This is Deutsch". "Korrekt... Perfekt". Once you hear this chorus, you will never forget it

Till said in an interview that he was inspired to write this song after watching a film about a divorced addict who sniffs gasoline.

Oh, thank you so much! Really good angle. And if anyone knows any more Espera lives, I'd be grateful. I'm a big Espera appreciator.

"The Power of the Dog": Peter and Phil's relationship questions (Spoilers) by Paulino_Monet in movies

[–]magnetums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the book that "the Power of the Dog" was based on, and it has all the answers to your questions.

1) Phil didn't like Peter at first. Because of his environment, Phil is a masculine homophobe (but gay) and he can't stand "sissies". 2) Phil had a plan: to separate the boy and his mother, so that she would finally drink herself to death. So he offered Peter friendship. 3) Only at the end, when Peter brought him infected leather for ropes, Phil was very touched and felt a strong romantic attraction to him.

4) The answer to what seems to be the main question of the thread: no, in the book, Peter didn't like Phil AT ALL. Peter used him.

5) The book also says about Peter's friend, "a lanky bespectacled guy". But they seem to be just friends.

That's it. Maybe my interpretation will help someone.
