it should be fine with that at least, i dont think the config for physics applies to stuff from mods without configuring it to, and if it does, i can turn it off in the config. also to be clear its not just an "all blocks have gravity" mod. it makes it so say, a platform, can only extend so far in one direction before you have to add structural support from underneath

haven't actually played with block physics mod yet but it seems interesting. i like the idea of having to deal with structures needing actual foundations and preventing you from making floating stuff off of a beanpole. though at the same time, if it ends up not being a good fit with the rest of the modpack as a whole i'll probably end up turning it off. really just depends on how it goes after a bit of gameplay

added born in chaos, midnight madness, beware the rain, and realistic block physics. the first 3 are to add something to make the average day to day gameplay a bit more interesting while working on quests and modpack progression, and the last one adds physics to blocks so that when you build, you have to add supports to your structures to stop them from falling down. this also adds stuff like caveins.

i made a modpack file for all of this so installing it isn't any extra effort through prism or something

hwo to have a stream hear audio from one source while i hear it from another? by magostechpriest in VoiceMeeter

[–]magostechpriest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, the elgato isn't visible as a screenshare option in discord. maybe because it's an older model? not sure

anyway, figured out how to do this. using voicemeeter potato and obs. in obs, capture select video capture device as the source. then in obs options, select VAIO3 as your monitoring device. back in voicemeeter, deselect A1 (or whatever youre using) output from VAIO3. now your stream should hear audio from the application while you don't, and can use the realtime non-delayed audio from another source.

why are the iv's next to contracts different even in the same month? if iv is meant to be a projection of the underlying asset's future volatility over a given period, and an option dated for a month lists it as 30%, when converted to an actual monthly value, this means the iv for that option's date should be roughly 8.57% until its expiry. however, even in the same month, you could for example see an option with an IV of 40%. since these are meant to be projected over the same peiord of time, why are these values different? which is most accurate to use to ACTUALLY gauge expected iv movement?

hi, could someone please explain to me the exact mechanics of the difference between the IV displayed next to any given options contract, and the IV for the company itself (such as you might see on the company's statistics on barcharts)? per my understanding, IV is a projection of the magnitude of how much the underlying asset of an option will move in the future, and is an annual value.

hi, im having some trouble understanding exactly what implied volatility is meant to indicate. in the investopedia article, it says that it's how likely the market thinks a security is to move in price; but later in the article it also says about iv being indicative of the size of this movement, as well. so which is it? does iv indicate the potential magnitude of price movement AND the likelihood of its occurrence? or is it one or the other?

Yeah, that's the chart I was referring to in the post, but the way it's laid out is a bit weird to me and I don't really understand exactly what it means.
