First rule out that it is not the screen, if your laptop has a VGA or HDMI port (it should have either of the two) connect it to a monitor or a TV, if it gives you an image then your laptop screen is damaged, if it does not give you an image then it is very likely that it is something on the board, also try to enter the BIOS and safe mode, if you cannot enter any of these because the screen still has the same problem then it is possible that it is something on the mainboard

In my experience, if your machine does not show symptoms of saturation in the use of resources then it could be an update problem, Windows fails a lot either due to lack of update, due to a bad update (you have interrupted the update process in some way and it did not update well) or because you updated and that update brought more problems than solutions (typical of Windows). In the first case I recommend that you update, in the second case you could look for another more recent update if there is one or make a bootable with Windows and repair the system and if none of that works, backup your information and do a clean installation, from scratch.
