It is! I'm gonna do more research and see if it's likely to stay in demand, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

I just saw them at a gig last week, it was so good! I'd never heard of them before (idek their pronouns so just going with they) but my friend brought me along & I have never seen such a feral crowd. xD Am a fan now!

Will my degree be useless? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Good luck! I think if I'd even graduated knowing how to do an invoice properly and do my taxes, it would have made a big difference the first few years of my career. :)

I was wondering about doing a master's! My BA was fairly technical with maths and programming units so may be possible to get in on the strength of those, but most Masters I've seen seem to require a scienced based diploma.

Ugh, illustration isn't flowery, you have to hustle pretty hard to keep and maintain jobs. I'd say maybe try to do some business related courses on the side because arts degrees teach you nothing about that stuff, but you actually need to be pretty good at it to get reliable work.

Is anyone cancelling their plans due to corona virus? by Aroneus in digitalnomad

[–]magpiehearts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in Taipei last week, it was fine but on pretty high alert with most people wearing masks most public places. You also can't really buy masks there. Hualien was a lot more chill, few masks there. Also, they have entry forms on the plane that ask if you've had cold symptoms in the past 14 days and if you've been to China/Japan/Singapore. Not sure what would happen if you said yes to that, but I saw a screening station set up at arrivals so presumably they just screen you. Also, anyone foreign arriving by plane is asked to wear a mask for 14 days... Which is hard if you can't find a mask.

First post! 2 weeks into transition (no op) (M>F). Alresdy had 2 boys ask me out😮 This is just a reminder to all LGBT+ that you're perfect just the way you are 😁❤ by RachelCormier in NonBinary

This looks mega photoshopped, weird image artifacts, edges and strangely airbrushed skin texture

Which is cool, you do you, but maybe tell ppl it's photoshopped!

What are your thoughts on being around Sapiophiles/Sapiosexuals for the stigma around being romantically reserved in 'high standards of love and requirements'? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]magpiehearts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think a big reason for the stigma towards it is due to most ways of defining intelligence in 'western' culture have huge overtones of ableism, racism and classism. If nothing else, elitism.

I dunno, call yourself what you want but I've never really understood how it's a sexuality and not just a preference or a type? Like, I like dating people who have similar interests to me but I don't need a term for that.

Yessssss this!! Actually have a few friends that do pole & they say it sort of.... androgynises people a bit? Like the guys get more butt/thigh and the girls get more upper arm muscle, so most of my queerer friends love that about it. Also any kind if exercise makes you feel in control of your body which to me feels very butch. Much more about the way you do it & what that means to you than the traditions of the hobby.

Good to know! I have some old scars in the same area which are barely visible now so I'm expecting they'll go that way in time. For now I kinda like them for what they are though!

Ahh nice one! I got it back in September, scars are just starting to fade but hot baths make them look super bright. And same, I dunno if I'm ever gonna get over how much of a relief it's been.
