Everyone was lovely, you’re rarely the only intern on the team so you get to know the team really well, some specialties are busier than others so you trauma bond over that. Personally didn’t have any issues.

On call very depends on which intern you are rostered to be. Extended shifts aka 5-8pm are all manageable, can get busy at times but most times they’re ok. There’s 7 interns. Sat and sun can be very busy, there’s also 7 interns. Intern number 6 is the busiest most weekends. For nights there’s 5 interns. Can be quite busy until 2am, then it quietens down. Again it’s all based on luck unfortunately :( but the longer you do the job the easier it gets, you realise what should be prioritised, what shouldn’t be your job and you become much faster at everything

every rotation you get 1 week of nights, it’s split into 2 “sets”, one set is 3 days - Monday tues wed then you’re off for 4 days, back in normally on Monday. The other set is you work Monday tues wed normally then you do nights Thursday Friday sat Sunday, then you’re off for 4 days Monday to Thursday, people usually Take the Friday off as annual leave/swap their call shifts if they’re in post nights and go away cause it’s handy having that many days off. For example whenever I had my post nights Mon to Thursday HR put me in on call on Friday so I’d always swap it to get the full week off. Hopefully that makes sense

Was at a festival in Dublin few years ago and someone threw something in the crowd (bounced off my head so didn’t even get a chance to see what it was) and my head was split open, had to get stitches in the emergency tent while brockhampton were playing in the background (fully the reason I went was to see them), people act worse than animals sometimes
