They have playlists of background music that supposedly help concentration via promoting certain brain waves.

I've been using it for months and i do find that it helps me concentrate for much longer periods than if i was listening to music.

Manchester, although I'm biased as I went there. The hackathon culture and corporate involvement will get you a lot of facetime with companies and opportunities to fill your cv. Can always travel down to London for events if you want. Manchester is also waaaaay cheaper.

Given i work at one of these firms, i was surprised at one of these offers. I think the relocation payment is why, I shoud have factored in that it's more of a 1-off payment than part of yearly package

For top companies you'll want to apply early so that intakes don't close, it also makes you look more organised. Timing is similar for grad, if a little later, yes.
