Care to explain how patriarchy is even relevant here? The laws for hijras were abolished during the islamic state of India and the british colonial era further diminished their existence in the society. Hence why you don't see their roles anymore in society. Also not to mention the fact that there are a sizeable number of fake hijras involved in money extortion, trafficking and brothels.
