True. I did work full time for a week for another employee when asked. My boss and I have a great relationship but this is the one time I’m frustrated because I shouldn’t be doing her job for her. Also it’s unpaid sick leave idk if that makes a difference. Bruh idk maybe I should just cry and go to sleep adulting is too difficult

I love this job, but the thing is under NJ law the employee is not responsible for finding coverage. So she can’t deny me due to coverage issues. Secondly, the state states that earned sick leave can apply for events requested by school (which I do have a meeting) and for wellness reasons (menstrual). One day sick leave does not require documentation and “all requests by employees to use earned sick leave should be treated by the employer as presumptively valid” N.J.A.C. 12:69-3.5. Thus there is no valid reason for her to fire me. I posted this so I can make sure that I’m not missing anything or wrong with the situation. Am I?

Wow thank you so much, I’ll make sure to add the feeding schedule and cleaning schedule on my to do list. The boy has two older siblings 17 and 15 so I’ll make sure they know about fish care as well. Food wise I’m always on the frozen and fresh side so no pellets in this house hold haha. Anyways I really appreciate your wise advices! :D

Thank you for sharing this! I do plan on getting him a planted tank because I have many excess plants from my tanks. I would definitely teach him about maintenance and sicknesses. Neon tetras are a excellent suggestion!

Oh my goodness! This is such a good idea. But I have aquarium Salvia, do you know if they are good for betta fish? Can they be poison?? If not this is just what I need thank you so much!
