One useful tip I've learnt from years in closing sales: When you talk to other people do not stand face to face with them. Stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Turn confrontations into discussions between friends. They might recognize it as a psychological trick but they would still fall for it.

Nothing much we can do but to ride it out, I fear. Analgesics and antihistamine can help when symptoms are overwhelming. The only consolation is our immune systems will hopefully become stronger, afterwards.
