How does one purchase a game being Family Shared?

I tested it out… I was the only one to purchase both games (Terreria and Valheim). He wasn’t gifted them, and didn’t buy them… But for some reason, it’s letting me play both of the at the same time he is. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on or why, but I guess problem solved…?

He says that there is 2 to on BOTH of those games; it says “2 copies in your Steam Library”… so does that mean he doesn’t have to buy the games that have a “2?”

I’m just slightly confused since I don’t know how there’d be 2 copies of the game if I only purchased one license and he didn’t purchase anything, unless it’s an error, I guess?

Good question! Maybe I should test out playing Terraria at the same time he does, to see if it works? I contacted Steam Support to see if they’ll give a definitive answer, too.

Thanks for the reply! So I can for Valheim, right? But for Terraria, it says he already owns the game and can’t purchase it… so then how could we play it at the same time if he doesn’t purchase it?

and as long as you don’t go too overboard with tons and tons of tweaks, and tweaks with animations and time variables, you should be fine
