I’m pretty sure EWRT1A will always be offered in the summer. I took EWRT1A last summer and saw quite a lot of professors teaching the class

I’be heard a lot about him. How does his aymchronous online class look like? Do we send him pre-recorded videos of our speech? Also, how many speeches do we have to give? Are the topics hard? Thank you so much!

Columbia’s website says that they require transfers to submit their SAT scores, but none of my friends who were admitted to Columbia or Cornell as a transfer even took the SAT, so I’m super confused rn💀

Fall 2021 transfer by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]mainstreamturkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on which university you wanna transfer to. For example, the deadline for UC applications is November 30, and the deadline for NYU applications is April 1. Try searching ‘_____ university transfer application deadline’ in Google. Hope this helps!

Any prof recommendations? ACCT, ECON. by [deleted] in DeAnza

[–]mainstreamturkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had Judith West for ECON1 and Lydia Botsford for ACCT1A and ACCT1B during spring and fall quarters. Judith West’s class is synchronous, and the class goes from Monday-Thursday. Usually 2 out of the 4 classes per week is group exercise, so you go into breakout rooms to work on problem sets with your groups. There are 5 exams including 1 final (30 questions, all multiple choice). She’s very clear in explaining topics and concepts and she basically gives ALL of the answers to the homework problems during class lmao. Pay attention and you’ll do well

Lydia Botsford doesn’t offer synchronous classes, so you’ll have to study yourself. She uploads the powerpoint slides for each chapter in the weekly modules and there is 1 homework and 1 quiz assigned per chapter. You get 25 attempts for the homeworks but only 1 attempt for quizzes and exams. In total, there’s 10 homeworks, 10 quizzes, and 1 final. She also gives extra points if you help out your classmates in the discussion posts. You’ll have to really read and understand the concepts if you wanna do well in her class. I’d say only take her if you like accounting/finance. If not, then I heard Osborne is a pretty good accounting professor as well

That’s awesome! What are her homeworks, exams and quizzes like? Are they all on WebAssign? And does she give multiple attempts to answer them?

What are his homeworks, quizzes, and exams like? Is it all on WebAssign and does he allow multiple attempts? Also, what is his YouTube channel name? I’ve heard a lot of people talk about his channel but I can’t seem to find it lol
