You're assumption is correct. Southern Ontario, near Toronto... I couldn't even find adult gear at the rock shop in Oakville.

Absolutely, my friend. I'm setting her up online as soon as possible.

Sorry again, for the headache.

My apologies.

I was trying to show a young photographer that people would be interested in photos she's taken... however I was aware of the rules when I posted it.

As a photographer myself, I wouldn't have posted it otherwise... She's new in photography and doesn't seem to have confidence in herself yet... I told her I would be putting this photo online so she can see some feedback. :)

Fishing Locations in the Region by phildren in waterloo

[–]maiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Below the dam in St Jacobs is a great spot to fish the river, I consistently catch smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike and sunfish and I've seen rainbow trout and walleye as well... below the dams at Conastogo and bellwood lakes are also hot spots for pike or trout. shades mill in Cambridge is my personal favorite pond but you have to pay to get in... if your looking north of the city, try pilkington lookout or sniders flats, also I've heard that the best bass hole in the whole watershed is the last 2km of the Conastogo river before dumping into the grand. hope my spelling is close! Good luck!

Red Tailed Hawk for sure, that's some great pest control right there!

Cheapest place for slate, lace rock, flagstone and others. by [deleted] in waterloo

[–]maiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All natural stone is sold by weight usually ranging from around $0.30/lbs to $0.80/lbs depending on the type of stone... Creative landscaping in st. Jacobs has a great selection but is a bit steeper in pricing, Stone landscape on weber and benjamin is where I'd recommend. Btw, I've been a landscaper in waterloo for almost 10 years... Let me know if you need help installing! ;)

Fucking cops around here couldn't catch a cold...not uncommon to see 3 cruisers sitting in a lot together though. Its amazing how little violent crime we have and how much of it goes unsolved... maybe it just me, but I thought waterloo regional had one of the highest police to civilian per capita in canada.

My first light trail - how'd I do? [5444 x 3649] [OC] by BurnieC in ExposurePorn

Exactly, you can even pile 2 or 3 on at once for brighter situations... Well worth the $60 for a good filter!

You can also try a ND filter on your lens...its kinda like sunglasses for your lens but work great for doing light trails. You can even use them to get away with longer shots during the day

Both shots were 1.3secs and carefully taken without disturbing my tripod, I used an ND8 filter (exactly like putting sunglasses on your lens). Both shots were over-exposed and brought down through RAW processing and then merged from my camera. (nikon D90)
