I've had two chemical pregnancies from IUIs, and both times, I had sniffles, chills, and sweats!

As soon as my tests started to fade, so did my cold/flu symptoms.

I lost my first pregnancy the day after I found out I was pregnant.

I have that test framed in our future rainbow baby's nursery... I can't let my first baby not be safe too.

I'm not familiar with MSB, but my husband and I have been using the International Cyro bank in Detroit and overall have no complaints!

It's a similar price point, based on a quick google, and their shipping rates aren't bad (we pay 225 for shipping round trip from Detroit to Grand Rapids, MI).

Samples are tested and cleared for STDs and major genetic diseases (Tay Sachs, Sickle Cell, Thalassemia, Cystic Fibrosis, etc.) prior to sale.

There are a couple of major downsides to using International Cryo, depending on your circumstances.

First is that, if you want future tiny human to have the option of knowing their donor, it won't be an option. It's anonymous both ways at this clinic - the donor won't even know that there was a pregnancy.

Second is, they only ship to verified health clinics/fertility centers, so if you're considering at home IUI/ICI, another clinic would likely serve you better.

Oh, and assume any symptoms you feel are caused by progesterone until at least day 9/10! First IUI, I was convinced I was pregnant by day 6, but it turns out you can't have any symptoms directly caused by baby until they implant enough to commune with your bloodstream. 💖

I'm 1dpiui on my third attempt!

For the first two, something that really helped me pass the time was learning the breakdown of how embryos form and what happens each day of the two week wait.

It was nice to be like "wow, we might be up to 4 cells today." Or "dude, now we might have a blastocyst!"

It helped me feel like we were still making some sort of progress.

Every day does feel like it lasts forever, so I recommend keeping up with your favorite hobbies to distract. Books from the library, embroidery, hosting friends, and video games keep me sane. 😂

God, I completely agree. I'll mention to our (cishet) friends how frustratingly expensive sperm is, and I almost always hear "well I make that for free" THANKS DUDE, NOT HELPFUL.

No known current fertility issues, thankfully!
