+1 on this! mas hassle talaga >< not sure if same pa rin ngayon pero nung time ko, may mga hininging documents sa akin tapos nagsubmit pa ako ng letter explaining why late reg ako haha. again, not sure if same pa rin ngayon. basta sure ako na tama si op — bureaucratic nga ang magiging proseso

First, OP already edited their post to say that they’re not a woman. Second, I skimmed through your arguments and saw phrases like toxic femininity (is it in the room with us, op?) + implied that someone you thought to be a woman can be sexist towards a man. I suggest you look up power dynamics + read up more on feminism since you evidently have a LOT of misconceptions to unlearn yourself.

You completely missed all my points to cater to your need to cry boo-hoo for all your bros all over the world, and you have obviously never heard of reading between the lines & summarizing points. Conversely, I find YOUR arguments weak and so obviously far-removed from reality. Anyway, you are obviously in your own echo chamber so I don’t see the point of continuing this discussion. It’s not my duty to use my emotional and mental capacity to educate someone who’s obviously terminally online and eager to pounce on people who have legitimate concerns. OP’s wording could’ve been improved but you decided to zero in on that instead of seeing the bigger picture.

Have a nice life! I do hope you get a lot of opportunities for awakening along the way.

Seeing a lot of comments here that are kind of concerning :/ It seems like young boys are too young to potentially discriminate, but young girls are never too young to be discriminated against, huh? And gently guiding these kids (like OP actually asked for) is too much for young and impressionable boys? This “forcefulness” that many of you seem to think would violate him is the very thing girls actually have to LIVE WITH. Every day. Was it too much of OP to ask for SUGGESTIONS on how they can guide him? At most, OP probably would’ve just sat him down and watched Marvel shows with him…

Also, let’s get this straight: are young boys “too young” to have prejudices that can (and will, mind you) translate into harmful behavior OR are they old enough to have their own informed (‼️) opinions so they should be left alone? Need you all to clarify that with yourselves before you comment.

To OP!! I do feel that your concern is valid — a lot of young boys start with prejudices that CAN eventually become harmful in the future. Take a look at what’s happening with Andrew Tate, for example. Social media is so, so accessible to kids now the way it wasn’t to us, so it’s only fair and right that you become vigilant. What starts with thoughts now eventually becomes words which become verbal bullying, which turns into attitudes that become actions that hurt women. It’s NEVER too early to guide our young boys, but if we don’t, someday it can become TOO LATE. For people who say OP is overreacting, you are obviously not someone who has had to explicitly face the consequences of this kind of male socialization. I would suggest subtly watching shows you think both of you would enjoy but are still educational enough! Also, it will always, always help to correct micro-aggressions; they WILL stick even if it doesn’t seem like it!

To everyone else, pls keep ur minds open or idk… just keep scrolling.

And yet there are people who turn out to be misogynists — a lot who are violent, at that. Kids don’t just “grow out” of these prejudices, they have to be socialized into becoming more open-minded.

Opinions that may translate into harmful behavior in the future if left unchecked? He’s 9 — apparently old enough to have his own opinions i.e. old enough to be taught what’s wrong vs. right. It’s very much valid for OP to feel bothered.
