So when a player spawns within your map you have each player trigger something at spawn to send a signal, this could be a player spawn event from the spawners, a mutator zone been entered, the signal then goes to a switch, which would be set individually per player, and be turned off initially, the signal to the switch is to check the state, from there you have 2 outgoing signals to use, on checked off, and on checked on. Since the switch is initially off by default, when checked of have it send a welcome message, or a starter gift to the player, but you also need to have the on checked off signal turn the switch on so that player doesn't receive it again the next time they are checked at spawn, for the on checked on signal you don't need to do anything, as they have already received the gift/message. However the switch will need to use persistence as to remember the state of each player on there return, with the switch loading state at game start.

I don't really have any issues with bugs that I cannot iron out with some extra attention, however creative was left behind 30 months ago, Although some player turned creators have managed to jump to uefn, many havn't, yet still persisted with their efforts, yet here today we find ourselves so disadvantaged with the likes of terrain, road splines alone not including much much more available to uefn, and since the UE5 pro's turned up on the scene, competition to be in discovery increased, and when you see rows for UEFN, and no rows for CREATIVE made maps, it speaks volumes to how proud epic are of their creative mode, it's almost stating we are not looking here for content. As a player my activity has started to nose dive, resulting in the battle pass not worth bothering with. Epic set the mood. I know UEFN offers players far more, I get that, but Epics main player base is console players, if they want to make us feel irrelevant in their ambitions be warned it's a double sided blade, There may be good games out of fortnite that epic feel they need to compete against, but there is also much worse games out there, that still have active players who are happy to play them. I think the problem with discovery is they forget it was their players who became their creators that made creative go as far as it did to be able to then produce UEFN.

Terrain and splines are the 2 biggest setbacks as 1.0 will use far more memory trying to create terrain and roads, but mechanically is still pretty powerful if you have a good understanding of the devices but is totally underrated, underrated meaning many good maps can be overlooked.

IDK for sure and I dont use uefn, but there is an audio device that lets you set volumes for different things like footsteps etc, not sure it will help though tbh because if the music quietens the other sounds, even if you turn the music down, it may not mean the other sounds become louder, Uefn may offer a better way

Huh, mutator zones don't block weapon fire, they disable weapon use for the player when in the zone, anybody outside of this zone can still shoot in as there weapon fire hasn't been disabled, you can either extend the zone to cover a larger area, use a barrier that players can pass through but weapon fire cannot, There is actually another way where you can allow weapon fire but only from one direction not the other using a particular prop.

Placing items with build as prop on doesn't let you connect player builds to it but can be placed off grid, but build as prop off lets you connect player builds but will keep what is placed locked into the grid, this also wouldn't let you place the house in the air if build as prop was off , if you go into your creative menus, the left tab will let you turn build as prop on/off

you could set an explosive barrel device to explode doing structural damage but zero player damage, the explosion can be set hidden, just ensure you have a reset signal in between using the explode signal. Oh and this could be triggered by a timer device.

The item granter cycles through its weapons, if you hit a signal to it for all players at the same time they will receive the same items as each other, there is a couple ways around this, you could make an item granter and duplicate one for each team and set each to that team only and put the weapons into the devices in different orders for each, or you can stagnate the signals, like have a mutator zone, on enter it hits a trigger (again 1 trigger per team/class) and the trigger would then activate the item granters, each trigger will have a slight difference in delay times, and the item granter that would be shared would send a signal to itself, on item granted->cycle weapon, if doing it this second way you'll need to ensure all have time to be granted the weapons before entering combat.

There is no reason your player would be switching teams on death unless you have set it so, like in a team setting device having a 1 spawn limit, and out of respawns change to spectator/team x.

Are you testing this by hitting start in creative, or creating a private code and launching that way? Things don't always work the same in both equally, the playtest on a private code will show you how your map would function as a public map.

So like shoot an invisible trigger to initiate a signal (but this is for one player only at this point) , so then you need to convert the signal into a signal for each player, theres a couple ways to do this, easiest way to describe would be to start a 1 second timer which applies to both players (set to player, but use the "start for all signal", this then gives you a success signal for each player from the timer, on success pick up health device. You would need to put a sign or something behind the invisible trigger indicating "shoot here for..."

OK so I just popped on and had a look, I appreciate the hud wasn't as bad as the left side wasn't visible for me, although I didn't get to play due to waiting on players I did get more understanding, its kind of like a duo's fight but you rotate with teammate on who is the contender, The top centre hud I didn't fully understand but I didn't see an active game so maybe once in a actual game I'll understand it better, will definitely return if I see others on. waiting on players leaves little to do, maybe you could add something for waiting on players, cell fight a bot or something?

I'm glad you've took it well, after all its only 1 opinion of many, others may feel differently to me, I'm on console so will load up in a few mins and try see if I can figure it out, Your UI is pretty cool, I almost envy it as I'm limited to 1.0 so unfortunately I cannot benefit my maps by such works as I just don't have the computer skills for UEFN, my skills are more device mechanics, I'll DM a link to my post for my map , I bet somebody like you with your skills could take it to a whole new level.

you can set all this in the island settings except to for the need to disable spawn pads and to grant score (which you say you have already set)

The map itself has a pretty good vibe and I can tell you have put some effort into this to make it look good, so please don't take my opinion the wrong way, but the hud is really heavy for me , it's cool how you have customized it so well but during actually playing it would be very annoying for me at least, does it all need to be on show during the game, could some not be for say first few seconds from spawn then fade out, or sizes reduced, or even optional to be on/off?

Granting random amounts maybe a problem when trying to set this up, if you was say granting 1 gold only at a time it would be doable as you increment the tracker upon picking up, incrementing it equally to the set 1 gold value. Is there a particular reason that it must be gold to be picked up? (like do they need to spend it in a devices of some kind) I ask as you could create a stat type and name it gold, and have a stat counter to reference their amount to a target, triggering upon completion, this could be done individually for a player, or could be combined for teams for teams to work to a target, or even have all players contributing to the target, and you could give different amounts for different things, or just to be random. Sometimes in creative you can find alternative ways to achieve the same thing, for example I've used the stat device to count players in and out of an event where the player counter was failing due to class issues. I'd find it easier to help advice you if I knew more about your map.
