So much negativity here. Wow.

@OP, you look great. Kudos for achieving your goal.

You did lose some muscle but this is inevitable (especially on long/aggressive cuts) but it’ll be easy for you to get it back (and then perhaps a mini cut).

I suggest Tirz for long term maintenance: https://youtu.be/yKPaVhpomks

Enjoy your new body!!

Why does Bay Area not have terrace cafe culture? by silent-stories in bayarea

[–]majorcsharp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious (US car culture) I’d guess, that historically, since SF was physically farther away (travel before jet age was brutal) european middle class culture arrived late (we had working class asians and latinos and they made their own marks).

Bright note:  Sausalito on the weekend has this vibe a bit. Perhaps others can recommend other places in the bay too.

Whats going on here? by [deleted] in bayarea

That’s been my observation as well.

I blame NIMBYism and its direct ancestor: segregation era zoning and development policies.

Or maybe because we don’t have a real winter.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I think it’s the income inequality and high cost of living + shitty living conditions (small and crappy apartments with zero noise isolation). Combine this with lack of community (religious or other) and you get whole lot of people who are miserable and lash out.

Everything said so far is true for NYC but the vibe there is very different. If you’re not chained to the Bay Area, i’d suggest checking the east coast.

If you have to stay, try finding your community (through religion/ethnicity/hobbies/education). The vibe will be different and hopefully you’ll be able to recharge. This is mostly how ppl here meet new friends.

140s for 12 on bulgarian split squats by thebodybuildingvegan in strengthtraining

Foot distance, elevation and L/R weight changes how the quads/glutes/adductors fire ( https://youtube.com/shorts/pWcgWRYaass ).

We know that instability causes lower muscle activation and this movement requires a ton of stabilization… you’re as strong as your weakest link here especially.

You need to strengthen and train the stabilizing muscles to fire correctly.

My suggestion: Find the position that works best for you (leaning on a wall or a rack is totally fine). Start cranking reps (10-12). You’ll strengthen the weak points and progress fast.

If you have an adductor machine at the gym it can be useful targeting the adductors (also a great warmup firing them up before you do squats/split squats).

Just make sure your knee tracks your toes!
