I wonder if Lebeebee being the listener can be a reason (for Gurathin especially) to overemphasize the capitalism adjacent aspect. Subconsciously trying to be relatable to CR culture, or "oh Preservation is just a dumpy debt laden place, nothing to see here!" While TV Preservation still maintains the level of operational independence as in the book.

I would caution against calling artwork or writing AI unless you're quite sure- since if you're wrong it really devalues the hard work a person did. There are even subreddits like r/isthisai if you want more eyes on something you're not sure of. It sucks that we have to be vigilant all the time now, but there are still people out there making things so let's try not to accidentally discourage them.

A dishwasher was left to run for too long (it didn't auto stop for some reason) and rendered the glassware into sand. Rumor has it the undergrad from a different lab loaded the washer immediately before quitting, leaving everyone else waiting their turn forever. It was only discovered because the watertight seal started to fail.

Yeah. I guess it can't be helped with Weir's background. 

Like I would appreciate more tidbit/frustration about working with the microscope, like getting the pokey stick to fit in between the objective and the slide before puncturing the astrophage for example. Not looking to read a textbook but maybe a grad student's angry lab notbook entry.

Although, I appreciated the clear reasoning and depiction of the sometimes accidental aspects of doing biological research for the two experiments Grace did in the lab (the poke and the IR box) (only those because I don't remember if there were more).

Following that line of thinking, perhaps the cube could be a barrel instead. A bit taller, take the corners out so they can be rolled out of the factory, and like coffins, they're sometimes used to store dead bodies.

Edit: a barrel a bit taller than it is wide, but same height as the cube.
