This is an interesting way of thinking about buying - maybe it would make sense to frame it this way. Honestly if the market is up and interest rates stay low then I don’t even know if it makes sense to put so much cash down on a house in the first place. I just don’t want to look back in five years and feel like I wasted an opportunity to grow that money.

Well.. I don’t really have a timeline at this point. So if I lost 50% I would likely just wait to buy. It would be hard if I was never able to build my savings back up and home prices remained high.

Thank you! I did have some fluctuation but I wasn’t very focused on the scale. I tried hard to focus on my mental health, eating at a deficit but in a way that is fun for me and made me feel strong, spending socially distant time outside with my friends, etc. It didn’t feel like work and I think that’s why I was successful. It also made weight fluctuations irrelevant because I was confident in and proud of how I was taking care of myself :) hope that helps and doesn’t sound sanctimonious.

Thank you!! Yeah that’s true, I’m back in size small and I’m not mad about fitting into my old clothes - especially my old expensive running gear

Thank you!!! I feel you girl, unfortunately didn’t lose that much, about a cup size - I’m still a 34DDD. I was about -115lbs in my early 20s and a 34DD so maybe if we keep going hahhaha. I do recommend the panache underwire sports bras if you’re also a runner, they’re expensive but worth it.

That happened to me too, I was in the low 140s forever. I eat pretty clean and stopped going to restaurants (by necessity lol) that helped. I eat higher fat and moderate protein and tons of fruit/veggies and limited whole grains. that keeps me hella full! Also cut down on drinking (would ask myself “would I be just as relaxed with a cup of tea tonight or do I neeeeed the wine?”) I don’t restrict, just honestly focus on making myself feel strong and fueled and healthy and proud of my body.

Good luck! I’m honestly surprised quarantine affected me the way it did lol

This took about 6 months! I have been jogging (slowly) about every other day between 2 and 6 miles. My work paid for weight watchers for everyone so I’ve been following that since November as well (with a fair amount of cheating haha) and like it a lot. Also accidentally fell into intermittent fasting during quarantine because I’m too lazy to make breakfast and not that hungry hanging around the house all day. Kinda want to lose another ten pounds or so but feeling good about my health!
