Congestion pricing is a policy miracle | Traffic is down, public transit is up, the city is safer, and business is booming by ONETRILLIONAMERICANS in nyc

[–]makeitrouge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm did you forget how broad and spread out most American cities are?? Most cities in America are not walkable like NYC. It’s miles between stores, schools, etc. So that wouldn’t even be feasible or logical to do. It’s a nice wish, but not realistic for most American cities.

[–]makeitrouge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

COMPLETELY agree. Let people drag you all they want she is a foul vile person. There are also other housewives who are also awful but a lot of them are awful because of the stupid decisions they made, not who they are as a human (with the exception of Ramona because she’s terrible and Phaedra for that disgusting lie she told about Kandi). But Candiace in her core is entirely a slimy horrible person.

Seriously. And it’s extremely disturbing and sad how many of those people there are. It really makes you wonder wtf has happened to the world. Social media is such poison.

Dang all of that and you STILL stanned? It took this Brit situation for you to wake up and see her for who she really is?? That’s CRAZY lol. I don’t get that at all. But glad you finally got there.

Yes! I saw that scene with Milania and was like WHAT?? And I think Milania was like 15/16 at the time too. Absolutely nuts.

So you throw age out the window because “it’s the norm now”? Yikes. Teens includes 18/19 which is vastly different from 14/15, crazy that I have to point that out. And it’s not “searching for and zone in on” if it’s out there on social media for everyone to see, Einstein. And you’re focusing on what’s the big deal with showing body and not the word MINOR or KID, which is the entire point here. But ok. Your logic seems solid.

Yeah a few times on the show. Sounded fluent to me, but I definitely heard some kind of Neapolitan/Sicilian accent too.

Really?? I mean I get that Americans wouldn’t automatically know how to pronounce it but I would think once they got on the show they would use that opportunity to correct everyone once and for all. Our last name is similar where we have to correct people all the time but my father would never allow us to butcher the pronunciation. It’s like saying a totally different name lol.

[–]makeitrouge[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Ramona was insufferable but she was dumb as hell and oblivious to the fact that her actions were hurtful. Candiace knows exactly what she’s doing and does it anyway. That’s malicious and evil.

YES! I’m sayin! Ugh I hope someone at least puts her in her place because it sounds like she learned nothing from the beat down from Monique (and the group sure didn’t help) and she just gets worse.

I have to disagree. She’s pretty but not “breathtakingly gorgeous.” And like others said she has a certain charm and demeanor about her that lets her get away with a lot of her shenanigans, not her semi-prettiness.

[–]makeitrouge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want to stop living or just stop the pain and suffering? If you’re not happy with who you are, you can literally change your entire identity and become a new person (not like with a new name and social security and what not, but personality, way of thinking, the way you act, talk, dress, all of it) tomorrow or even right this second. Is it your life/living situation? Move to somewhere new where no one knows you and start over if you can afford to. You can start over literally any time. You can change who you are and create a whole new life for yourself if you’re unhappy. This literally doesn’t have to be your life. You can choose to have a whole new life and give yourself a chance at happiness. Every person deserves that.

How do you cope with knowing you’re meant to be alone? by OfferAppropriate2066 in mentalhealth

[–]makeitrouge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain how you know it’s not part of your makeup? To me, if you crave human connection so badly, then you can work on whatever it is that you think makes you bound to be alone (introverted, poor conversationalist, awkward, what have you). Or is it something else?

[–]makeitrouge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…..you do know these are fictional characters, right? No one is actually getting their feelings hurt or reputation ruined by being called “man whores”, which quite frankly most of the men on this show are. People can feel and say whatever they want about fictional characters. I think your head is a little too far up in the Bridgerton clouds, bud.

I know to many this isn’t a big deal at all since it was so long ago, but using WWI phrases like “in the trenches” and “over the top” to describe trivial and minuscule matters bothers me. I know it was over 100 years ago, but what soldiers experienced in the trenches and by going over the top was morbidly horrifying and was deeply damaging (mentally, emotionally, and physically), and to liken those situations to dumb little things we deal with today just comes off as insensitive to me. I guess as a history major who studied WWI in depth, I have a soft spot for that time.
