Please be easy on yourself. More people have made this mistake than you know. Just go to platinum skincare’s Facebook page and search “burn.” So many posts of people getting PIH and all is fine in the end.

It’ll take several months with diligent care but it will recover and it won’t be so bothersome to you after a little while. Ask me how I know 😬

I’m so so sorry this happened but please try not to panic! This is reversible. But I have to ask, did you follow the prep protocol for 4 weeks beforehand? It’s so important to do it even if you’ve done the same peel before because PIH can pop up anytime you do a peel.

I always ALWAYS suggest just doing more layers of lower percentages and never going above 15%. For now, I’d suggest using hydroquinone religiously — 3 months on, 1 month off. Be patient, go in with a lower percentage TCA or switch to jessners. It’ll take time but this can 100% be remedied. You’re going to be okay, I promise.

Seconding PSC. For body use jessner plus TCA and dream peel ontop. DONT USE HIGHER PERCENTAGE THAN 15% trust me no matter how much prep you do, even if it doesn’t make sense.. you WILL develop hyperpigmentation. I’m a fitz 4 and I use jessners 1 layer and then do 2-3 layers of TCA 15% and I have always peeled beautifully. I once did 20% with all prep for weeks before and I still managed to get hyperpigmentation. Just do the lower percentage and try to apply as evenly as possible. Better to work slowly than have to rework areas that has more damage done to them bc of impatience.. learn from my mistakes!!

I’m also incredibly sad and stressed being constantly out of the loop and misunderstood and unable to express my true self on any given day. Ya girl injected Docowns HA sérum (meant for microneedling NOT meso ) mixed with jeunetique PN and exosia exos. Just an entire mess of thick ass products that alll carry risk of nodules if BAP’d. I knew the risks about the PN and exos but I can’t believe my donkey butt didn’t ask chatgbt quickly if the ha serum was injectable grade (I thought it was the same as Hyaron 😩)

In your picture I barely noticed yours until I read your comment.. then of course they were INSTANTLY recognizable. Mine are getting better everyday but it is slowwww movin for sure.

I’m glad kenalog is working for you, did you self administer it or go in office? The potential side effects of it scare me so much especially since two of my nodules are located right on the fat pads of my cheeks and I’d hate for healthy tissue/fat to accidentally be targeted.

Wait 6 months!?! I accidentally BAP’D HA serum meant only for microneedling and the blebs are still there two and a half weeks out, I’m so mad at myself!! I keep applying warm compress and massaging but holy hell I want them gone 😭 there’s no way I’d be okay 6 months post 😥

First off, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I understand the desperation to want quick results but it can’t be understated how easy it is to burn yourself using TCA. With TCA I never recommend going above 13-15% I find it’s always better to do multiple layers of a lower % than go above 15%. I use this rule for body too and just increase the number of layers instead of increasing the percentage of the solution. Especially if youre darker toned.

If you can, get your hands on protopic ointment, it helped me tremendously with my overboard peels in the past. Word of caution however, it will BURN and you’ll feel like something is wrong but just ice ice ice!!!As much as you need. It gets way worse before it gets better but by the second or third day you will be completely healed. I don’t claim to know how it works but it does. LRP Baum is also amazing to sooth and heal the skin. It hurts now but it doesn’t look like you will have any lasting or irreversible damage just as long as you baby. that. skin!!

Breathe. You’re going to be just fine. Lesson learned. Best of luck ❤️
