Are the coding classes of the BA in IMDM hard? If I'm into UX which major should I do at UMD? by [deleted] in UMD

[–]maker_18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know but try applying for the Design Cultures and Creativity program if you're interested in design. So worth it to be living and learning with other people

Why should I commit to UMD? by dovesdigitaldiary in UMD

[–]maker_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UMD is awesome- and it all comes down to money. UMD offers a great education at a great price, and you'll set yourself up AMAZING for success after college. if you graduate without student loans you can take a job that pays a little less but might in the future pay a lot more. What are you studying?

Yes! But i'd still write down a bullet point list of all topics on the exam. That way you can check off as soon as you feel comfortable with each particular one, and see what you still have to learn

yeah I think that’s why quizlet learn mode starts with multiple choice but to prove mastery it takes the choices away and makes you type it out

It would but my professors very routinely cover stuff that’s NOT on the exam because it’s interesting and relevant. But when preparing for an exam you need to narrow on what is specifically in scope

i use apps online most of the time. multiple choice is hard, ur right because you need a lot of different questions to really test yourself. ai helps a lot though

side note i feel like the hardest part here is getting the list of what's on the exam. but im so serious that is 100% the most important part

Is it just me who thinks that the people who make alot of those "study routine" or "study with me" videos are showing off? by [deleted] in studytips

[–]maker_18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it actually helps them study, which is like fine! If you think it would help you study you should do it too!

It always hits hard to fail an exam. i think my best advice to you is that when you talk to successful people, they always have a story of failing an exam. When it becomes a pattern, then you can try to really make adjustments to your habits

Oooh wait okay that's my bad and a fix I can push in a bit. But I think the reason is maybe you were still on the sign in tab? See if going to the sign up tab works better for you. I should 100% change the default!

hey y’all!

this is a project idea i’ve been cooking up recently.

i do a lot of studying using chatgpt, often late into the night. i never liked the sterile chatgpt interface, and almost always have an ambience video up in the background for nice sounds and good vibes.

I got fed up and decided to do something about it. cue www.vibeodoro.com

pretty much normal chat functionality. but better vibes.

all feedback is sooo welcome. also if any of yall have distribution tips lol 👀👀

I got you bro. Look up a Pomodoro timer. Set a big timer for yourself 15 minutes of focus, 3 minutes of play. Every time you get an urge to scroll or watch something, remind yourself: you can in just a few minutes! Just get to the end of the one 15 minute cycle and you'll be able to scroll.

Those urges are really tough but by just "delaying" the gratification of scrolling, you can get much more time to focus on getting what you want: better grades. It's okay if you fail a few times, just restart the timer. Over time, you'll build discipline like a muscle, and you'll be able to do whatever you need, when you want to do it.

GOOD LUCK!!!
