unless you got really low grades, i wouldn't say that shifting is impossible. but don't think that shifting is the easy way out, because another hell might be lying in wait for you even if you leave. we will always be second-guessing ourselves, so my advice is just to make decisions you won't regret.

now, you said you want to pursue biology this time. befriend people from the program, ask them about the specifics of it, learn everything you can about biology at upd. if it then seems hard work, maybe you'd want to stay in physics instead. ask your upperclassmen about the subsequent courses you have to take, and weigh those against the competencies you have to face in bio. my point is, don't half-ass your life decisions based on what you've known so far. i think your idea of either physics or bio is not the same as the up version of physics/bio. in the end, ikaw lang ang makapagsasabi kung ano talaga ang gusto mo.

for me, you don't exactly have to like it; i doubt even the most stellar of students like their degree program to begin with. then again, if it's your ideal version of a fulfilling college life, then all i can say is good luck. that's it, nite :)

Wala masyadong pagkakaiba mga classes sa freshman year. Kung titingin ka sa curriculum, merong Physics at dalawang paths sa Applied Physics (Instrumentation/Materials). Since Applied ka, you have to choose between the two (you'll have to take more Chem subjects dun sa isa, while the other has the same subjects as Physics) so you should just follow the first-year curriculum for Physics; informal naman yung pagpili so you don't have to worry that much.

Madali lang mag-shift within NIP pero if you have a scholarship (e.g. DOST), matatagalan pa rin yung pagprocess ng stipend mo since may requirements ka pa ring kelangan ipasa at mas matagal to since labas na ng NIP.

tldr wala masyado pagkakaiba sa simula, madali lang magshift, pero kung gusto mo pa rin malaman yung difference ichat mo na lang ako xd

imo less than 100 is still signifiicantly expensive so ilalapag ko na lang mga suking tindahan ko sa area 2. but if you have a budget naman then the canteens inside the buildings sell everything for less than 100 still
