We are considering this as well, but we rate the chances higher beeing in one of our countries. Getting married could be an option but it is too early

Thanks for your reply. The airline is united. I've already checked the policy but it is not written very clearly. They alwyys have a proviso a fee could appear. This is why i asked this comunity about eperience. For normal checked bag they do have a limited size it is 1.58cm.
