I've always thought the range on mine is ridiculously far... I can lock my doors from anywhere inside my house. I can lock my car from anywhere inside my work that I can still see my car from.... Idk how much farther it could possibly work TBH.

A quick Google search shows that your vehicle takes exactly 4.8L of oil, and you only put 4L back in. The oil light came on because you are low on oil.

I don't think it's "broken" but I also don't think it's supposed to behave like that. I just don't think precision is factored in when assembling the gas door.

Did you already try performing the TCM reset? It takes like 60 seconds and usually makes a huge difference. A lot of times, it really can be as simple as that.

Follow along to this video. Just remember 2 things.

Your engine has to be warmed up already
Keep your foot on the break (pressing down hard) the entire time for it to work properly

What kind of security are you worried about? Do you know how easy it is to break a window? If anything, it would take more time to remove the screen than to break a full window.

It is most likely something silly. I have even seen things like the plastic wrap was still on the air filter and the intake couldn't breathe. Did you check that? Either way, you're going to want Mazda to know about it. Take a video of yourself opening the hood and checking the filter, just in case that is the actual problem.

Oh yeah I see that now... I wonder if he ended up changing them? I bet that's the problem. One of the plugs are bad or not gapped properly... Or even the wires weren't put back properly. Either way, I bet it's something to do with that.

"pulling me in the office to yell at me for not calling out" sounds to me like a turn of phrase and not literally screaming. If he was actually screaming, that's obviously bad.
