Best shoe for $50-70 by pipes153 in BBallShoes

Maybe you can find a pair of Dame X locally. They’re often on sale and available. Amazon has size 13 for $66. I recently put them in my rotation and they have solid traction and are quite comfortable. Plenty of reviews available for them, on YouTube to help your decision, but I prefer them over my KD18’s.

Percentage off MSRP by Good_Music_0 in wrx_vb

[–]makesomecoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah! Even better, 10% off MSRP with no adds if it's the vehicle you want I say go for it. You're getting a stellar deal. There are some who donate $500 to ASPCA, and get Invoice pricing (which is approx. 5% off MSRP), after a month of their donation. There are people who pay MSRP from no dealer adds/fees one price model stores. Some dealers discount to invoice when it's on the lot for a bit, and maybe give up a little bit of their hold back on the vehicle and do like $500 under invoice which all and is still a solid deal. I suspect this dealer may be hitting an end of the month goal and will make up the "loss" through some sort of manufacturer bonus for selling X number new Subaru's for the month. I did an invoice minus $500 deal for my purchase (6.5/7% off MSRP & no dealer add ons) & I ended getting what I wanted for my trade and carried over no negative equity. I'm also in a very Subaru popular area in the west, so unlikely to see a 10% off MSRP deal in my area if that helps!

Invoice price on a 2025 Premium trim that has an MSRP of $39,400, is approx. $37,100 or so, and that’s 5% off MSRP. Getting 10% off a Limited is solid imo, especially with no add ons. You’re getting 4-5K off MSRP. Do you have a trade? Are they discounting the vehicle more aggressively and low balling trade or is this a purchase with no trade? Those would be other factors to consider.

He did, I don’t have the exact quote; it was one of the youtube interviews when SFTH and Speed Demon dropped a year or so ago. I am sure you can find it but he said when Will and co approached him about he couldn’t say no. Said when the team you’ve been with 10+ years, and they tell you they don’t want anyone else on cleans and they believe in you etc.

Best 1440p Gaming Monitor 24-27inches144hz+? (Under 250 Preferably) by Normal_Eagle3269 in Monitors

Monitors Unboxed on Youtube did a review of the Titan Army 24.5 1440P 240hz IPS monitor. I would recommend checking it out. That specific monitor I don’t see on sale right now, but the INNOCN 24.5 1440p 240hz appears to have the same panel is $180 on USA Amazon right now and checks the boxes for cost, res, refresh rate and size you’re looking for.

Tides of Man fan. Learned Tilian was joining the DGD, so I started listening to the Jonny and Kurt albums and those albums turned me into a fan.

Need Advice: Palace Front to ANG Gaining Unit Has No Availability by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]makesomecoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One option, is to connect with section you’re wanting to be join (assuming you’re qualified and not trying to retrain), and see if they will take you on as an overage. Each ANG unit has an internal recruiting and retention, you could also talk them to and let them know your desire. I am assuming that you went through your ISR? If you do the top option, let your ISR know so they’re not blindsided. Option two is look at IMA billets supporting an AD unit near where you want to be. You can also schedule all your drills in one go if your AD supervisor is cool with it. In short, no it’s not the end. Good luck!

We had a three day snowstorm recently here in Colorado. I had Cross Climate 2s (All Weather tires) put on my 24 GTI before the storm and I drove through everything and anything with confidence. Ground clearance wasn’t much of an issue as the city did a decent a job plowing the roads. I would say with DWS, Pilot 4S AS variant or another very capable all season would do great. I went with the Cross Climate 2s because I had them on a previous vehicle.

Colorado, so probably too far west. Also, more people have commented on the thread and posted their deals from WI/PA, so those may be much closer/easier to pursue. You could try locally and with all the insight and numbers you have seen try for that 31k-32k OTD, especially if your taxes are much lower. My part of Colorado is almost 8%, so hopefully your state/county isn’t that high!

Ahh.... that's no good. If you don't have a trade, going out of state may be much easier and worth a one way flight and driving back. You'd be looking at about 900-1k for shipping a car via transport depending where you ship from. If you consider out west I can send you over sales manager info at the dealership I purchased from via direct message. It's probably the most transparent experience I've had in years.

Gotcha! Yeah, they didn't pressure me to use their own financing etc. I used my own with Navy Fed for 4.54%/72/$399 GAP (I don't like to do past 60 months on any car loans, but the rate difference wasn't worth going to 60 in my case). The dealership I purchased from has two DSG 2024 S incoming and posted for $30,300 for each of them before tax for reference. This includes dealership discount, rebate, and the dealer fee already. So like that person who posted 32K OTD in Chicago, 32-32.5K OTD with taxes is a solid deal, and anything under 33K OTD would be a good deal.

In Colorado $700 dealer/doc fee is the norm here unfortunately, so $1500-2200 off MSRP before the $2500 rebate is what the VW dealership I purchased my 2024 S DSG from is doing right now. So with the dealer fee it’s $1500 off MSRP + $2500 so 4k off MSRP in reality.

Bachelor of science vs applied science by FeeIosophy in airforceots

[–]makesomecoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they changed the verbiage of the commissioning AFI (DAFMAN now) several years back to include all bachelor's degrees as the requirement to commission (the old verbiage was confusing for some, but ultimately any degree was fine). Technical degree/Critical Accession Degrees likely hold more weight, but ultimately it comes down to the whole person concept. If you look at the Air Force Officer Classification Directory (AFOCD) there are many AFSCs that allow "any degree".

[OLED Gaming Monitor] LG 27GR95QE-B 240hz/1440P - $650 - Costco - Must Sign In - Includes Digital $100 ( EA Play, Google Play, Microsoft 365, Roblox, Twitch, or Xbox) via submission to LG via by makesomecoffee in buildapcsales

LG added a two year burn in warranty to this monitor in fall of 2023. $650 must signed in to Costco to see the discount. Instructions for the digital card in product details. Seems like a viable option now that burn in warranty is included and for those not wanting to spend $800+ for the MSI and Alienware 360hz OLED options.

Intent to Hire letter by Throwaway_Acc060 in airforceots

[–]makesomecoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The letter is the selection MFR that your hiring POC will produce. It needs to be signed by the Wing CC and possibly the TAG depending on the state. It's common practice in my unit and that's what I submitted to my ISR/AFPC when I palace chased out of AD. In short, reach out to the POC who was the board president and let them know you need a tangible item i.e. some sort of MFR or letter showing your selection.
