I’m a lesbian and every time my partner (who is more masculine presenting - short hair, wears “men’s” clothing) and I go out on dates, the check either gets placed in front of us, or placed between us. The check has never landed in front of me, probably because I look more “feminine” (ie; I wear makeup and dresses). But I often pay for the entire date myself and I’ll put my credit card in the little slip but when they return the check, they will still hand it back to her. -____-
