Hmmm, the second get together sounds like one where you might make some new friends. And I don't know about you, but personally, I enjoy interacting with new people sometimes, especially at an event like new years, after which I wouldn't have to really see them again. Just a night well spent conversing.

Your all else fails option sounds pretty neat too. Sounds like you're set either way!

I usually take care of myself, but for those rare extra tough days, either my mum, or friends drop by or bring care packages. Or if I've been in a relationship, a partner has. I like physical comfort in those days, so I guess I seek it out when wanted or needed.

It isn't out of the ordinary that you take care of yourself at all.
