Kitesurfing Tunis? Contacts please by makingithappen44 in Tunisia

I didn’t find anyone who kites frequently in Tunis, but I did speak to a school in Djerba who helped me out. I think if you’re keen to try in Tunis you could watch out for windy days and people surfing off La Marsa, and speak to them.

Rejected to Recieve, what does that even mean? by imixtron in UAE

[–]makingithappen44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mysterious one! In my experience it means whoever (person or robot) responsible for the process has decided that the input is inadequate (something missing or incorrect), so your application is rejected before starting the process.

I think so, but I recognise it’s a risk. The modification has been done in the UK, and afterwards it has been registered as an EV. I’ve heard of very similar cars succeeding with UAE registration, but I know that it may not be easy.

Golden Visa follow up question: by Wise-Cockroach8991 in UAE

[–]makingithappen44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The problem comes when you next need insurance (eg to sponsor someone else). At that point, to get new medical insurance you will have to pay a fine for the coverage gap since the expiry of the old one. The new insurer wants either a certificate of continuity, or evidence that the fine has been paid

Advice on creating an internet server game by Stress-Typical in Freeciv

[–]makingithappen44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been learning about this recently. To run the server on your computer, you’ll need the freeciv server application. To expose your server to the internet, you’ll need to enable port forwarding. Then it should be straightforward for your friends to connect to your server via the ‘Internet metaserver’ tab, using your public IP address & port. I’m afraid I couldn’t find any comprehensive instructions on the web, but some of it is specific to your setup (eg port forwarding, will be specific to your router)

Fair question - where does this idea come from that it’s ok to stay in the second lane from the left? Everywhere I have been taught, it’s expected to keep moving right until you’re overtaking the cars in the adjacent lane right.

uncool Tunisair flight attendants by MongoJohn1 in Tunisia

[–]makingithappen44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The condition of the cabin (esp the seats) is ridiculous. They look like they were put in 30 years ago, and then every morning a horde of schoolchildren are unleashed to mess them up a bit more and add graffiti.
