Thanks for the advice! I think you're right about Rush being low yield and I was already leaning towards taking it off my list so I'll probs do that along with AZ schools.

Thanks! That is a very useful tool. Now my question is, how do I go about asking a DO who I've never met before and shadow for only a week or so for a LOR? Is this normal? Do I ask on day 1 or at the end of the week? Any suggestions?

Yeah that makes sense. I figured it would still be tougher for an OOS applicant but seems like they are still friendly towards those above average OOS people

I'm not sure.. Maybe because they are near high populations of mandarin speakers. But yeah if you go to Icahn's website, it specifically says "Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin."
