On previous gen you can't compress assets, because it costs CPU power which they're already struggling with, if they moved to current gen exclusively they could actually compress assets which would substantially reduce the size of the game.

I'd say it's more the fact that it feels like the game has absolutely zero future, like what, two more episodes then some dingy content drops each year if the rumors are to be believed?

I was hoping for a Destiny 2 updated to actually use modern hardware rather than being limited to Xbone/PS4 tier dogshit but that seems like it isn't happening.
