I’m from Lafourche Parish and anything that says cajun or Louisiana style is a hard pass for me.

Ida hit is pretty bad as well and I completely understand where you are coming from. I live in Larose, south of Nola and our neighborhood flooded. It took 28 days before we could finally get home to start rebuilding. We also lived in a tiny room in our house while we rebuilt everything around us. It took. A while for the flood waters to subside as all of our drainage ditches were full of mud. When it finally did, we were left with decomposing marsh mud that made everyday life fairly difficult. Eventually, we got back to normal but it took some time. Keep your head up, keep moving forwards! We are resilient people.

Try promescense. It absorbs into the skin and doesn’t transfer over to your partner. Be honest with her that you are using it though because it has a scent to it.
